Toads look good in the new artstyle IMO and the humor is good but it looks like they went out of their way to make Dark Queen as unrecognizable as possible. They should've been able to make something that resembles her older design without the blatant sex appeal if that was the issue.

You know; As a thirty years old hairy, muscular dude whose hair migrated from the north of the scalp to the south of his chin, I shouldn't be saying this, but... I _kind of like_ Dark Queen's new design and personality. She (and the toads) remember me of the old school cartoons I used to watch when I was wee chubby lad, throwing quarters in the arcades after school, and rushing home to catch _Spider-Man's_ reruns. Come on, guys. If you trully were born in the 80's to 90's; Did you played the games just because the final boss skin tight leotard? Or because the teeth clenching challenging gameplay and _tight_ soundtrack? I know which *_I_* did for; And it had no thing to do with spandex. Are they different of what we remember? Yes. But aren't _we_ too different of what we remember? Times change, and this is a fact. Their original designs were just a product of those times; Just like the modern ones are of these. The former belong to us, meanwhile the latter belongs to the new generations. Besides; Some friends of mine send me a message saying _"We got the new BattleToads. Come home next week and we gonna have a classic threesome on the couch with french-chips and cheese afterparty!"_ and just for that, am thankful for this game existence.

This had genuinely funny jokes and can be seen as a good game or at least story in many ways but it still follows the trend of remake/anticipated "sequels" throwing shade at their predecessor and its fans by either mocking it directly with slants or parodying caricatures of its fans. I'm not a Battletoads fan and have never played the games but I've seen enough sequels and remakes to FEEL when this shit comes up. 7/10 would bang dark queen (as if that wasn't obvious)

Rare still exist, well in my opinion rare did kinda disappeared after it's golden era and there did change the logo alot, even that I'm a battle toad fan, I am glad rare put their old logo back on (in a new modern day colors) and are in a way making a come back.

If Rare was going to remove the sexy component of the Dark Queen, they could've made this design more unique then. I do like her new personality (she actually has one now, lmao) very cute and scientific-nerdy. But her design is very generic. She's just a girl in a robe. They could've given her lab goggles at least! Because her design now doesn't inspire any vibe. It's boring. And I'm gonna admit it, her og design was kinda sexy, but pretty boring too...

It looks good. The only thing is, dont disrespect the old people. I know i m not the target anymore, but when you use the name battletoads, a lot of things come up my head except what i saw in these scenes. Hope in the next series take that in consideration.

The game is kinda crap, but the cutscenes are really-really good. The story's pretty decent, too… if not _completely_ detached from anything that happened in past titles. I mean, no Psyko-Pigs or Mutant Rat Pack (beyond the tutorial)? No Classic characters like Robo-Manus or General Slaughter? _… no T. Bird*?_ Also, I think Dlala either forgot, or intentionally ignored, the whole "GameScape" thing and that the 'Toads are actually humans laced with game code. But, heck, maybe _the 'Toads_ forgot, too. (* There's a reference at the very end, but still.)

I actually really like the artstyle...it just doesn't fit Battletoads imo. I don't think the new artstyle is even close to the biggest problem with the game. If you ask me, it's the countless awful jokes that make you feel bad for being a fan of the series. It's fine to make a few self conscious jokes about a hiatus or bad outing in the past but this is just way too over done. Really disappointing stuff...

Why does a Battletoads game have 50 minutes of cutscenes? Is this game twenty hours long? Did anyone ask for this? I'm not inherently complaining (I'm not actually watching it), I'm more just confused at why. And why is this artstyle so bleh? Just randomly clicking to 10:50 and it looks they have their heads made out of toast. I don't think I've ever seen the toads more ugly, and that's saying something given this franchise. This artstyle feels like its trying to look nicer but it just isn't, I don't get it.
