Had to remap a little, but I settled with the jump button mapped to the left shoulder on the usb controller. Keyboard on the right hand. I got a bit lucky, but it was the best I could do without any practice. Very frustrating experience overall as I suck dick at multitasking, but so satisfying in the end. Enjoy.

Co-op is twice as hard as single player. If one of you dies, you both die. This was the game that either broke gamers, or shaped them, back then.

At first, I was really disgusted at all the randomness, but a little research revealed how the global timers worked: all it took was to reset the game for every obstacle to repeat its pattern consistently. Additionally, thanks to the auto jump mechanic, it turned out you could simply breeze through many sections with barely any effort and only a few precise jumps later in the level. Overall, despite hating just about the entirety of what this game had to offer - from sketchy hitboxes to everything being on a global timer - in the end the run was a pretty fun experience. Also, keep in mind that despite the splits saying I already had a PB of 1:43, it was merely an accidental split. The video above is my only completed run during the session.
