Your point on Phil is spot on. Guys like you and Phil are the characters who have brought thousands to the game. Nobody watches a bot and thinks “I want to play with that guy!”
and Money Maker because everybody thought that a nonprofessional can beat the pros and win millions of Dollars playing cards. The Underdog wins the main Event from a 30 Dollar sattelite. He let peole dream and this dream brought hundret of thousands new player to the game. Phil and Daniel are more consistant in what they are doing. We can be glad that we have such Charakters in our game. Love em or hate em. You can't doubt that they are verry good at feel new people welcome to the game, make a game full of robots personal again and people want to be like them or play with them. Without these Charakters poker wouldn't be there with it's at. Thanks for that Daniel.
Really really kind and true how you described phil, even though you guys have your differences you still lift him up & respect/apprecciate him as a person. Really proud of you
LOL Phil is one of those true characters that every sport needs! At times he's over the top and needs to have his hand smacked but he's also an incredible poker player who backs most of his antics up with wins. I thought this entrance was hilarious.
@@tessademsky1156 Phil can truly be one of the funniest pros out there but he also crosses the line at times. When he belittles and attacks others, often because HE made a mistake or gets in his own head and misreads, is when he becomes much smaller and obnoxious to watch -unfortunatly it seems those two sides of his personality can surface within minutes of each other. I like him but I imagine he is exhausting to be around for hours at a time. Watching his interactions with Daniel are so entertaining because you really see how much he and Daniel like each other but also see how Daniel can push his buttons and often take advantage of Phil's hubris.
I fully agree with u Daniel, the entrance each year at these WSOP events by Phil is great and most important, he enjoys himself and who is anyone to say that it is disrespectful to the game?! 🤔 We do need to Thank Phil H, Yrself, Phil I. & the Late Legend Mr Brunson for making what Poker is today !!!! 👏🏻
@@brock83995 fully agree, Erik S who just won another bracelet @ wsop paradise, Chris F, Tom D, Antonio E, how can we ever forget Chris 💴, the list just goes on, we can Only Thank them, that’s why we ❤ this game 🕺👏🏻
Poker: never was a game that punishes you more for playing well and reward you for playing badly. You don’t need anyone to tell you that but seems like a good time to remind u that you’ve inspired me and many others. Your passion and outlook is such a breath of fresh air. Also S/O to Amanda, she clearly is the reason why and she rocks!! Br A fellow knapsacker 😅
No, poker pays you for better decisions and punishes you for bad play. The math evens out even if you run cold for a while. Last night I had QQ Board 849 I bet pot n guy calls w pocket 33’s hits on the turn and crippled my chip leading stack. Never thought he’d call w 3s n no draw
Your comment about Phil really struck me. I always wondered what was different about the newer crop of Main Event champions, and people like Moneymaker, Raymer, & Hachem really ushered in this idea that the everyday joe could win the big one. And this single idea is what will continue to drive the poker boom. Solvers might win the game, but Personality will grow the game. GL GL GL Daniel
Daniel. I really like your vlog. Hand breakdowns are great and hearing you analyze beats are good to hear. Your wife is funny and keeps my wife interested in watching with me. Keep it up! Thank you.
Another epic vlog I honestly love that the WSOP gives recognition to Phill Helmuth wins and allows him to be him and I also would like to thank you Daniel for all the content you share its has changed my life for the better it’s given me an opportunity to become someone great such as yourself poker so far in the past 3 year has taken me places I couldn’t have expected so from my family 2 your Thank you DNegs and happy new year 🎉 LFG 2024
These vlogs really help my game. Knowing I'm not the only one who plays great in tournaments and still get absolutely destroyed by beats! We're fortunate that Daniel does these vlogs. Much appreciated Daniel!
Just love what you said about Phil H. Yea he's crazy and silly but it what makes him happy, he really not hurting anyone, and I agree that without ppl like him the game wouldn't be as good as it is today. Phil H, Daniel Negreanu, moneymaker, and others..love them or hate them we should appreciate and be grateful how they impacted the game in a positive way ❤💪💯
Totally on the bus with you on the Phil statement, its the players like him & yourself who make the game & have always made the game enjoyable to watch, I switch off so many games because watching Paint Dry is more exciting. Keep it alive, keep it enjoyable. Go Phil GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :D
Also agree with you on Phils entrance 👏 👌 👍 💯 He is a hell of an entertainer and anyone who doesn't like it can maybe go play WPT! ? Love the Vlog Every time DNEGS! You're content is SO VALUABLE to me , much like Maria's commentary and her content. I am so damn lucky that pros like you do this at all! So thanks Daniel! Amanda Rocks too!!
What a guy. I will never understand how professionals like you can stand all the agony and frustration of the game without jumping from a bridge. I wish that your addiction and obsession will keep you going forever. Respect to you sir.
If I were in a hand when Hellmuth made his entrance with the band, I would immediately call for a clock on my opponent so he would be pressured to quickly think through his decision while that racket was going on. 🤣
Great VLOG indeed, especially when you explained why Phil Hellmuth (there are allot of great Phils in the game) is over-the-top, but timely and crucial to the success of poker. When big names like yourself show gravitas to your competition (especially when you've accurately explained why one Phil is more successful than the other), it sends waves of good vibes throughout the poker world. Please keep it up, and always say what you want or feel is needed. 99.9% of your viewers will never play a $100K high roller (neither will some Phils...), so thank you for giving us an inside the rail perspective so many of us crave.
Hopefully you do re-buy for the main event, but I get it, after playing the 100K it's hard to stay focused and patient. Thanks for sharing all these videos!
Sergio "Kun" Aguero was a superstar in the English Premier League... it's like if you were playing poker in a room full of people, looked up, and there was Tom Brady sitting next to you. A legend of the game... and that's coming from a Tottenham Hotspur fan!
In my opinion the best poker guy to watch and listen to . Amazing guy and my favourite ❤️ Great wife to back him and keep him happy . What more can a man want . Keep up the good work love watching you . From Scotland 🏴
Who cares if the people have negative comments about you daniel. I look forward to watching every single video from You. I always make sure I'm in the premiers. And I enjoy them very much. So please don't be down-and-out. Because people are negative and just like to be pain in the asses. Thanks buddddyyy
When the SPR is close to 1 I like to Stop N Go on that flop. GGs tho! Its much tougher live & them wanting you to be super chatty at the Feature is costing you I think but thank you & Phil for all you do for the game!
Keep on keeping on Daniel. Poker and sports betting and stock trading are all so similar. It’s not about any one hand, or bet, or trade. It’s about the long run. Better luck to you and win those flips!
Great vlog, hope you bink one of the final tournaments or atleast get to a final table, keep your head up and results will come. More for season 2 of Game of Gold, you should have some of the OG HSP players, like Sammy and Antonio - would be very fun..
Sadly it's true. In sports it's good to have players that everybody hates. Unfortunately, he is so annoying that I don't watch streams he is on, so I dunno if I'm his target audience.
Tournament poker is brutal I don’t remember the last time I won a flip either. I grind just like you did yesterday and when it’s flip time I just can’t win I feel your pain
So true is your comment regarding Phil. Nice that you recognize that even being a competitor of yours. Kind of like the Tiger Woods of poker. Brought the purse winnings up big time. Good luck shake this losing streak.
Good Vlog Daniel love to see u at the main table! I’m not a Kabrhel fan, can’t believe he ripped your shirt! Long finger nails.. Lol! I totally back Phil’s antics.. haha! It’s my birthday on the day of the Vlog 🎊 🎉woohoo! Karen 🇨🇦
Daniel, honest question. Do you play differently when you're on featured table? Do you feel opponents ranges are different knowing the world see's their hole cards
Evander Kane will forever have a special place in my heart for giving Matt Cooke his comeuppance. Granted it was a long time ago, but I'll never lose the gratitude for paying back Matt Cooke.
What „stakes“ or buy in are you playing in Fantasy Hockey? So what does first place in a season get? And are there any other known players besides you?
It's been great to connect and feel a part of the WSOP circuit with you as such an amazing host and player. Thanks for the entertainment. I'd like to suggest a potential topic for a Vlog and that is money management for tournaments, during the world series your net outlay was over -800k. How do you approach your cash management for these tournaments, is it based on total net worth or based on a specific budget?. Are each cash outlay's viewed as an investment with an expected return or you free ball it and hope for the best. You've been around for over 30yrs and lead in $ won on just about every indicator which is amazing. Let us know your formula for this as smaller stake players could use some cash management tips from a successful player. I usually use the 20% rule, I never spend more than 20% of my cash, I don't count my net worth as most of that are fixed non liquid assets. The gambling aspect of playing is also the consideration one must make when budgeting. Anyway, would love to have you take on that topic with your perspective of the higher stake games and super highbroller tournaments . Keep up the amazing Vlogs.
