Firstly, apologies, the videos are slow coming. I'm back working in the office rather than from home. When I'm not at work I'm trying to find the balance of being a new dad, walking the dogs, and daily life tasks. So editing is taking longer than it did last year.
The EOBC isn't my usual bag. In fact, I've only fished it once before and swore never again. But something about it got under my skin this year, most likely my competitive side, so I decided to give it a crack!
Conditions were rough all week, with strong northerly winds creating big swells. There were calls for the boundaries, from Bridlington to Spurn point, to be extended to include the Humber. Calls mainly, I feel, due to the fact the river has been producing great results this year.
The winds eased, and the sea showed some mercy, but the swells remained, creating a huge undercurrent that most would struggle to contend with. Saturday was a hard day's fishing. I'd estimate 3000 anglers took part, which saw only 30 fished weighed in for their efforts.
I can tell you Sunday was a much better days fishing for me personally, but came with its own bitter twist.
Subscribe for day 2, take care and tight lines 🎣
