I liked the fact he's occasionally redeemable. Baxter was always someone I had mixed feelings about. My first encounter with him was the cartoon where his villainy began from his naivety rather than malice. I like the fact some versions of him improve as a person, rather than always ending in the mad scientist trope.
It's actually shocking that the goofy cartoon made him a more relatable villain. He was a literal Saturday Morning Cartoon villain and was more three dimensional than the original version who just used Mousers to commit crimes for the fun of it.
And I've been meaning to that a certain Olympic Wrestler named "Brock L." was the blueprint for "HUN". I mean, since 2003. But oddly enough, the 2 mutant idiots didn't show up at all in this series. Too bad about the 2 favorites, Bebop & Rocksteady. 🤔☮️🍺
They made him an arrogant fool. He promised too much and always paid for it...literally. Each failure cost him more and more of his body until he was literally a brain in a jar.
He also appeared in Rise of TMNT (as an evil boy genius), TMNT: Out of the Shadows, and Batman vs. TMNT. He's also one of the bosses in TMNT: The Arcade Game, Turtles in Time, and Shredder's Revenge.
I like the more tragic angle they went with in the old '87 cartoon. A man with a lot of potential who could never catch a break, and then fell in with the wrong crowd. A lot more interesting than "I'm gonna be evil because more money."
The 2003 version of Baxter is far more tragic. He was constantly mutilated by the Shredder and in the end he was nothing but a brain in a jar. Worse thing that happened to 87 Baxter Stockman was turning into a fly.
Teenage mutant ninja turtles Baxter stockman is a mutant fly mad physicist scientist willing to serve The Shredder and general krang and the Foot clan empire 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐀👣
My entire childhood, I used one of those staple pullers as a mouser when I played with my Turtle Toys. They still look like them to me. What do you all think?
Ye have little faith, while it seems unlikely that the Shredder would be looking for revenge since Krang most likely killed him, it would be nice to see Baxter as the big bad for the 3rd film, even the Rat King would be promising
I had one of those. The wings and extra arms were separate and attached via a slot on his back. No idea why. It wasn't like he was one of those action figures you could switch between human and mutant forms. I had a couple of those too.
yea i don't find him that bad i find him actually quick the nicest guy through out th tmnt series i mean i kinda like him better in a cyborg body then him as a fly...it kinda too much to remind him of "the fly"
Wow i thought i knew all about TMNT because i'm old and i just always thought Stockman was caucasian but now i found out he was a different nationality at first - interesting.
@@dwaynelangerhr6985 Not sure if 1958 one was better, but it was certainly the one the cartoon was spoofing. Hence the titles of the episode being spoofs of 50s B movies.
@@victorcreed8866 Not exactly. He planned on getting revenge. When that failed, he was reduced to a head so chances of escape had drastically slimmed down.
@@SethBrundleify interesting, my mother had an interview with Gary Marshall to be in *Pretty Woman,* but her drug addiction during those days made her late for her interview, resulting in the part she auditioned for to be given to Julia Roberts
MY SUGGESTION IDEA FOR A DIFFERENT VERSION OF (BAXTER STOCKMAN) THAT IS A LADY: Now I imagine in a different dimensional realm, the alternate version of Baxter was born a girl, and not a boy, and to add I imagine her name is (BEATRIX MARIE STOCKMAN). I want to point out I imagine that BEATRIX is slightly different from the other versions of Stockmans’s that exists in the Multiverse. So what I imagine is that her mind didn’t become unstable until the days she experience very intense moments, and I imagine when she gets mutated her body form isn’t a fly it is a DragonFly creature. I also imagine that Beatrix’s DragonFly mutated body form is less ugly, than that of the fly creature form of the evil versions, of Stockmen who exists in different realms, and I imagine that she had developed a split-personality disorder do to the trauma she had experienced. In addition I imagine that her true self, and her alternate mind self have different DragonFly forms, that have different colors to the body forms, and I imagine that her voice changes to when her mind changes to her alternate personality. Plus to add I imagine that the one who pushes (Beatrix M. Stockman) over the edge is the evil alien KRANG.
1:i know y he`s minus his left hand i & bottom half but duz any 1 have sum idea wut could b with the nekbrace? 2:14:46...he don`t even haf 2 go by wutever name(s) he had b4.3:after 10:00...possible metroid game muzik.4:barney...f u flyboy.5: as a TMNT episode i`d call dis:new in stockman.
You missed the time when the 2003 Baxter created a fully human clone body to transfer his mind to. Unfortunately, it began to deteriorate, leading to his body rotting and his mind hallucinating and regressing.
Q: So... which is Baxter's real story? A: Yes. Q: What? A: All are correct. TMNT is an unapologetic multiverse. Do try to keep up. The TMNT thing started off as a parody that transitioned into superhero canon. Q: What? A: Exactly. Paladinum Books did a fine continuation of the canon in its RPG universe. Q: Yeah, the RPG is a kind of rocket launcher! A: Jesus Christ! **leaves**
To me Baxter Stockman will always be a white guy however based on his personality and mentality I now understand why he was always portrayed as a black man. It makes way more sense.
