What I can’t understand is why so many analysts trying to make excuses for Gonzaga , the whole world saw Baylor beat the breaks of them . It was a beat down from the beginning give Baylor their props they was clearly the better team .
It was kind of ridiculous how much the CBS crew and ESPN were actively rooting for Gonzaga. I'm glad Baylor exposed them and spoiled the coronation of Gonzaga as one of the greatest college teams of all time
It’s a disgrace to the game, kids go to Gonezaga to hide from competition, they beat some teams in preseason when most teams are sorting out egos and structure - then they camp in a D2 conference against JV teams, then come to the tournament as the top seed with weaker competition until shit gets real in the final 4. I never had Gonezaga winning, and will always root against them because of the type of people they bring in and the disgrace to the game they project.
@@bits_for_bytes SMH...They beat Gonzago wire to wire! Baylor's first 3 "coming off the bench" could have started for Gonzago. WHO didnt see the talent disparity???!!!!!!
Gonzago gets to the Elite every year based off NCAA seeding...which means they play Top 15-20 teams...they should go to the Final Four every year! lol!
I see what you’re saying, but also if they had won last year, Davion and Jared and Mark and Macio would have left so we can’t say much about if the rest of the team would’ve been on the same level
Kansas 2020 definitely wins it. That team would have been the biggest #1 seed in the last 40 years. I think Kansas and Baylor make the final four in 2020. Maybe a Florida St, and Dayton would have been the other two teams.
As a Zag alum and lifetime fan, I will remember this team as one of the best Gonzaga teams. 2017 probably the best. I always thought our bigs were too small. We got away with it because our guards were Tall and quick so they could help out on the boards and then get back. Baylor's guards shot too well to be given any room. and even then they would hit the shots. We have two 7 footers that did not play. I thought we might have used one or both for a minute or two Just to see if we could get some stops. Then Suggs went out with two fouls. Baylor played like we did all season but they were better. This was the first game that Gonzaga had to, but didn't, slow it down. I'm just going to Pretend like that last game didn't happen. It was a perfect season with classic final game. The last game was canceled due to covid.
Doubt it. You sound like the now terminated Paul Pierce who predicted the Boston/Milwaukee series was over after Boston went up 1-0 in a lopsided win. The Bucks went on to win 4 straight. This year Michigan badly beat Michigan State and then lost easily to Michigan State in the rematch. Once Lew Alcindor lost to an Elvin Hayes Houston team and then blew them out by more than 30 in the Final Four Gonzaga has a match-up issue with the Baylor guard speed. Few could possibly come up with scheme to not get hurt as bad. And the three point shot comes and goes. The NBA is described as a make or miss league and the same can be said about the modern college game. It's single elimination. Baylor won. Your prediction of a sweep based on one game is as poor as Paul Pierce's analysis.
@@randallmadison9910 lol Your faux "analysis" isn't anymore valuable than my opinion. There was nothing in that game that suggested that Gonzaga could compete with Baylor athletically. They were clearly overmatched.
"You need to go out and get you some men!"--Larry Johnson That was Gonzaga's wake-up call. Will they answer the call and develop (or recruit) some men so this won't happen again?
Gonzaga is a certified NBA PF school, so no doubt they’ll get a big recruited, but this year they had fixed their depth issue (with Suggs) in the backcourt as the Zags are known for not having an offensive threat in guards.
I'm so glad Baylor won!!! I was so sick of the commentators $@cc riding Gonzaga and Timme. He might not can sky, he's not that athletic, but he's smart. The same ol white supremacist narrative. Well guess what? Baylor's players can sky, they're athletic, and smart!!! And they put foots in them slow pokes!!!!
Just further proof that you a predominant black roster to win a ship. We’ve been down this road before with Gonzaga and with Utah , Butler and Stanford back in the day.
Bull. Baylor played a GOOD 2-seed Houston the same day at Zaga played UCLA. They said it best in the video. Zaga did literally everything they could, Baylor was just better than Zaga. End of story.

Another day of rest was not going to make Kispert and Timme stronger or faster on defense and was not going to make Baylor slower and weaker. A zebra never gets away from a Lion.
