Both Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley have praised the film and Austin Butler's performance, so I have a good feeling this movie will do The King justice.

Funny fact, him shaking actually was him being nervous on stage originally.

This looks Oscar worthy. I hope it gets good buzz when it’s out!

I am younger and discovered Elvis 10 years ago and quickly realized he was on a level bigger than any other star. Glad it looks like there will be a movie that touches on how magical he was. What’s interesting is that they could sensationalize the movie where it would seem not believable and still come up short on how much he really lived like no other. Greatest of all time.

If what buz does best its bringing great songs up to date..... Elvis will live forever from my era ( I was born in 1961 ) wow it's looking good 😊

This is the movie that we all needed to set the record straight mostly about Elvis Presley he was a god-fearing man and very generous may his soul rest in peace

Thank you for the insight as to the filmography of Baz Luhrmann. I’m not really familiar with his work but for some reason both of these trailers have really gripped me hard and brought me to tears. I can’t say that I’m a huge Elvis fan but I grew up listening to his music and I think a compelling piece of entertainment is before us on June 24.

Great review. I have been an Elvis fan for 50 years, lived in Memphis for about 30 and the attention to detail here is outstanding. I can't wait to see this on the big screen. Hope they crank it up in the theater.

The BLk church anointed Elvis and he was chosen to to bridge blk music to whites at that time- Elvis came from blk roots and black culture that is why he was so authentic and organic and he fought for civil rights - In the end Elvis like so many other entertainers was used and killed when he rebelled against the Powers that be Michael Jackson was killed in the same way, the 4 hour uncut version is much more into his black roots and upbringing and his stance on civil rights

It's not about the music. Also it's Butler who sings younger Elvis and the older one is mixed with real Elvis.

I like a lot of Baz’s work.. I appreciate it what he did with Romeo and Juliet.. but Elvis definitely seems like a weird project for him lol.. I am intrigued but not sold you know what I mean

------------ What stopped me from loving the movie was that Baz erased Elvis' Country Music roots, among other music styles. Elvis desperately wanted to be another Dean Martin, his biggest idol, bar none. Elvis' favorite genre were ballads... pop & operatic. Baz's vision for this movie only made him out to be a blues clone. All one has to do is watch his 1970 & 72 interviews about his music taste, as well as look at his lifetime catalog, which covers everything. So, Elvis was not an R&B artist, overall he was middle of the road, and he defied labels & genres. That's why early on, when his songs charted, they did so on the Pop chart, Country Chart, and Blues chart, usually simultaneously. So intense was he, that he'd often have the same song reach #1 on all 3 charts at once.

Using new music is one thing but he didn’t even do it the justice of keeping it in the same genre of music, takes away from being a tribute to Elvis and makes it a money grab to get people to like it more
