This is the second installment of my build series of the BB-63 USS Missouri - "Mighty Mo". In this video I am addressing the deck- installing the kit plastic deck, Pontos wooden deck and PE, painting and weathering the deck.
The build is based on the 1/350 scale Hobbyboss 86516 kit with detail up sets from Pontos.

The deck came out great Kenneth. Phenomenal work as always. I look forward to the next video. I sent a couple of emails messages to you. Pictures. Less blurry. Have a great day my friend!

As a rule I am not a fan of Pontos decks, but I must say it looks a lot better after you have painted it covering the excessive laser burn. she is looking great Kenneth,

Do you have any good recommendations for fine modeling chisels to remove the details from the original kit? Amazing job by the way, hopefully my build will turn out close to yours!

Tamiya has some good chisels that I use. I mostly use the X-Acto knife to remove details, then sand down. Thank you for the compliment and good luck with your build 😊

Looking good, i have often wondered what that water curtain was and i was getting close to asking thanks for satisfying my curiosity. where do you get one?

Just search for watercurtain spray booth and you will probably find some options :-)

Why did you use the glue to stick the wooden deck? Shouldn't be it adhesive? Or are you afraid it will come off over the time? Because on february I will start Revell Bismarck with pontos expansion and your work makes me doubt about if doing the same thing or not.

There are two reasons why I use it. 1) It gives you the possibility to adjust and reposition 2) It will keep down for years, which is not the case for the adhesive that is on the backside.

What brand for the deck blue paint?

It is Scale Colors, but Ammo MiG Deck Blue is very similar in color and probably easier to get hold of.
