I was George's personal assistant in 1987, he changed my life completely, I love that man so much for the wisdom he parted with me, I would like to see him again, im 58 now, I was 21 when I toured with him.❤
@@bsnf-5 Clapton, yes. Though he is known as a rock *musician* but blues *guitarist* because musically (I mean the song that he wrote) is not blues. Such as Layla, Wonderful Tonight etc. But Clapton use blues in his guitar playing, but he is known as a rock musician. Now Benson is more to a jazz technique in his playing while his music is more like RnB type song
@@saidmuhammadizzat4994 Clapton was a big fan and friend of Peter Green, a classic blues guitarist who played for Fletwood Mac. Clapton even wrote a tribute song to him. As far as Benson goes, he can play very good blues, yes he is primarly known for his jazz chops, but he uses a very wide and rich musicial language, which also contains blues licks and blues style of phrasing.
Just different styles.. George iis a jazz guitarist Par Excellence. BB can string a few notes together into a riff that can literally sing, like a duet with a real person, another sweet voice. Eric is the "make every note count" guy, single note like single thoughts strung together that reach in to tear your guts out. If you want a guy who can "blow them all away", go look at Gary Moore, especially the last George Harrison stage appearance where Harrison at one point just starts watching and literally laughing at the amazing way Gary can play, like he'd never seen it that good before despite Clapton's being being his collaborator on the song and best buddy. I've seen them all except Jimi - Albert King, Bobby Blue Bland, Robin Trower, Santana, Jeff Beck, SRV and loved every one but among those who KNEW, Gary Moore was king.
Wash your ears first ;), then comment.Three very different musicians, so BIG and IMPORTANT, there's no comparison. If you really need to know who is the DAD amongs them, then that is undisputedly BB King, period. He pioneered and ligjt the way for another two, and gave them endless inspiration.
Each of these guys would make history as a solo concert but the three of them on one stage is almost too much to comprehend. Absolutely fine, fine entertainment. The talent is oozing out of them.
Why do people try to compare music legends on who's better? All 3 of these men are musical geniuses with obviously a ton of respect for each other. To many variables & personal preferences to determine who's the best. Why not just watch & enjoy a great moment in history?
Benson killed it on that guitar. BB King has even acknowledged Benson's magnificent guitar chops on BB's album titled "King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents B. B. King Live!" It's so nice to see these 3 on stage!
What I like about Clapton is his ear and emotional intelligence. He knows enough theory to hang with the jazz musicians but knows his lane and stays there. Makes him very enjoyable to hear. So many players fail to distinguish chops from musicianship
God bless Eric and George forever for helping B.B. look/and sound as good as they could. they both deserve some Karma for this. That damn B.B. can still sing/sing/sing. Put a smile on my face.
Quelle rencontre! Ils sont tous les trois magnifiques. Du début à la fain. De la première à la dernière note. Blues spirit flowing all over the place...
You Know you can NOT DENY the FEELING ....HEART ......SOUL THESE GREAT.... GUITARISTS HAVE ! AND THE KING OF FEELING HEART & SOUL is MR. BB KING so ....off RESPECTFULLY !
To all of u negative people pls if u dont like it dont play it but dont waste your time with negative comments these three musicians have been legends for decades u will never understand this kind of music unless your 50and over so go tosleep
When you only look at skills then you cant argue, Benson is always on top but a jam isn't about whos the best, its about the enjoyment, feeding off eachother, sometimes you get better as the jam goes along, imagine how much you could gain by just being there on stage with them.
Few so lucky to have all three live, not together sure. B B saw four times, the last he was on the chair. What a great musician and even more human being, loved the man.RIP
How can you NOT be a fan of those guys? Whom without any technology whatsoever, had contributed so much to the Rock N Roll we all love. Malmsteen, Batio and Romeo will die without any merits at all. They haven't done anything to music. It's like being a Math teacher, if you just repeat equations, don't matter how good you are or how fast you do it, you're just repeating it. However if you solve a super complex puzzle even if only one time, you're forever a hero.
Where do people get this idea of competition in music? Well i guess the bluesmen started that when they used to cut heads on the Mississippi Delta, however, I think it better to appreciate the individual expression of each individual! I get goosebumps from one note on Lucille the same as I do a slick jazzy riff from Benson and in reality none are better than the other! Human nature to box and categorize I suppose!
Great guitar-playing and blues-crooning from three musical legends! R I P, B B King. You and 'Lucille' will go down in the annals of Blues music as amongst its greatest and best proponents! You will be greatly missed!
If Benson and Clapton (otherwise known as "god") went head to head in a cutting contest Clapton would end up being shown the door. He would have to be carried out because Benson would mop up the floor with him. Benson is the superior guitarist by far.
Thats not the point here, though y could be right but time also plays a part here. In due time a younger player (masterclass)would always be able to eat up a older player That’s the nature of things. Take Eric Clapton in his younger days and very few would be able to get close to that what he was doing, very few!
