came here for bb slide licks ... I absolutely love that in the process I learned what sounded like "soulshine" or the faces version of Etta james' "I'd rather go blind" Hell yeah man, groovy!
hey there hope you respond back... I know this vid is super old but im 25 yrs old and have Cerebral palsy which afflicts my hand but I began to explore slide guitar for 3 or so years and unfortunately stopped due to not being able to mute unwanted string noise and ring out the notes I desired... I may go back to trying to play but could you show me where a slide guitarist in E can solo? are there ways one might be able to assist in muting strings so my hand can just focus on playing?
matt manley I have cerebral palsy in my left hand n play slide guitar lapsteel style. I find muting the strings with my fretting hand playing with a lapsteel bar using the rest of my fingers to cover the strings the best for muting unwanted string noise
Yea I have it in both my hands but not severely and figured out that dragging a finger or two behind the slide helps but I still get my bass strings buzzing due to lac k of pressure but thats all just practice. Tell me do you use the slide to cover all the strings at once? Could this be my problem?
