@@leannewalker539 thats because bbc are tying to shut the bbc hd channel And mostly use test card F (the screen with the loud beeps on 7:45 )is used to be mostly used when BBC'S channels are off air or no longer Avalable thats why

That's kind of the point. The testcard tone was there to test speakers, so by alternating the tone between left and right (later adapted for Dolby Surround) you could identify which speakers, or indeed which ears, weren't working.

What happens when you go to channel,does it just show static,black screen or BBC 2 HD?

It’s like my Samsung TV which still believe VIVA UK exists.

BBC HD still exists, as a channel exclusivly for cruise lines

Test Card E was reputedly only used for one day: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_BBC_test_cards

It does exactly what it says it does - allowing the viewer, or more specifically, the engineer, to see whether the audio and video have drifted out of synchronisation.

The Video/Audio Late card can sometimes be seen on BBC Two during the early hours of the morning right before the channel resumes normal operations, I've seen it on there before

@@oscarcookies4870 There's actually a slightly modified version of this that is in current use, without the 5.1 audio test and the BBC HD logo is replaced with just the BBC logo (and text saying HD). Saw it recently when BBC Three relaunched.

Maybe I couldn't afford HD capture facilities at the time, so I can't reproduce in HD here.

Not sure which year(s), but my guess is it would have been used internally at the BBC since the days of the development of widescreen, so mid-late 1990s. But you can Google all this, right?
