£12 an hour IN LONDON. What did you expect.......Intelligence? A mate of mine works the music festivals on security and had to do the SIA "licence". He told me that a Chimpanzee would pass the 3-day course (£150 when he did it) and there were a couple on his course that were not even that smart, and the course providers sat with them during the "exam" (a tick test) and completed it for them. The SIA has somehow managed to get a .gov website address but it's NOT a public body, it's a private industry and regulates itself which is like letting school kids mark their own homework....!

I am so sick of foreigners telling us what we can do. LA, I'd have walked away when he answered his phone, that was very rude, he didn't even say excuse me. All SIA security should be made aware of our photography laws when they take the course, and their badges not being on show is becoming the norm and that's not right.

Surely it must either be a huge number or it must not be enforced and yet councils employe people to pursue the public for dropping litter, how about enforcing the law around security guards, that would be easy money for the council authorities?
