This tutorial explains the properties of digital and analogue sensors and demonstrates how they are used to obtain different types of control with the BBC micro:bit using the Mr Bit coding editor. Following the pattern of the built-in tutorial, the video shows how a simple switch, push button and temperature sensor may be programmed to control lights and a motor fan. From the settings in the control system dialogues, the Mr Bit editor automatically produces program instructions in plain English. These are tested in the computer simulation (Run mode) and can simultaneously control actual components connected to the micro:bit (Control mode).
