The popular BBC show Question of Sport has come under fire recently for what critics are calling a "woke" agenda that has ultimately led to the downfall of the show. The controversial decision to replace long-time host Sue Barker and team captains Phil Tufnell and Matt Dawson with new faces has resulted in a drastic drop in viewership, and thus the programmed has been axed by the BBC, ending a more than 50-year run on the national broadcaster.
According to The Sun's TV critic Ally Ross, the decision to overhaul the show was driven by a desire to make it more fashionable and appeal to a younger audience. However, this move has been met with backlash as it is seen as a disregard for the loyal fanbase that had been built over the show's 50-year history.
