The story i don't get is the kids charging their parent's credit cards. Like the parents are the ones paring their cards to their kid's account. My parents taught me and my siblings we had to ask and that things like a dlc are not free. Just paring your credit card to your kids account just stupid and asking for trouble.
I remember being a kid and the only time I remember accidentally using my parents card was when I was about 5/6, it was one of those interactive games linked to the TV, I think it was only a couple of pounds at the time. I remember I actually did read what I was paying for but I didn't know what 'the bill payers permission meant'. After that, I played many games as a kid that had micro-transactions. I never would have dreamed about buying something without asking my parents. The card details were never saved on the console and they made it clear to me I would be in trouble if I brought anything without asking them. Its really not that hard to watch what your kids doing. Most parents are lazy which is the problem.
Parent paying ignorance I didn't know they cant do it Kids know what they're doing but parents can't accept it and won't punish there kids UK blame mentality not my fault it's always someone fault. I love bbc watchdog policing someone else investigate your own organisation for our wasted BBC TV licence.
I love the lady in the yellow dress! It's so rare that you see openly disabled presenters in mainstream programmes that are otherwise unrelated to disability issues. :)

@@SparkieGoth I have ADHD and PTSD along with anxiety, people wouldn't know i have a disability but sometimes that can be a bad thing, people treat me as if I'm a normal person, especially when I'm stressed and can't handle it, the amount of grown people i have heard telling me to grow up 'cos of this

with fortnite, the thing to think about is that these consoles are for both adults and children. im 18, i have my own income and cards and i do have both a ps4 (sony) and a gaming PC (using steam, a platform made by valve). there is no reason for me to need parental controls since i am the sole user of the account and i have no reason to need parental controls. if kids lie about their age when they setup their accounts (which i know for a fact does happen) then as far as the console is concerned they are of age and as such do not need parental controls, on the other hand if they give their real age they will not be able to access certain games and DLC. its on the parents to check the accounts are setup in the right way at the end of the day, as with the amount of users consoles have there is nothing they can really do to stop this from happening without inconveniencing the regular users such as myself who do follow the rules.
i will also add, i have not played fortnite, though i have played GTA online and from seeing the way DLC effected your performance on that (with high in game prices for items which made it possible to actually live and the easiest way to obtain them being buying "shark cards" (trading real money for in game money)) if thats anything to go by its not suprising that kids are buying these in game DLC's as the way the DLC's are designed normally is to give you advantages in game, making it easier to play.
@@OatmealDonk unless you're dealing with someone under the age of I'd say 5, the entire issue stems from rotten children knowingly spending their parents money and stating they didn't know. It's crazy that Sony and Microsoft are being blamed
@@tutin4090 i wouldn't have said solely "rotten" children". I'm sure plenty of them genuinely didn't understand it was actual money they where paying, and while of course there will be some bad apples there will also be plenty who are stating the truth. Most games include a virtual currency who's realistic exchange value in comparison to real money regardless of the cost on the games store is ridiculously low, simply because of how easily it is acquired. this can cause children to associate large cash values with little work in game and when they are asked if they want to buy more in game money for a comparatively low amount of normal money (which they may not even realize is real life cash) it cans seem like too good of a deal to miss.
Fortnite, perhaps parents should be paying more attention. Someone's credit information has to be placed on the console, you can set up children with their own users to prevent these issues. Fortnite shouldn't even be played by children under 12 and you'd have a hard time believing they didn't know they were spending actual money when it is made very clear, just like anything you're taken through a payment process.
Used to be a member of the AA, i broke down in a shopping centre car park. Rang the AA, who asked me for the postcode, i said i didn’t know, but i gave the location of the store which was Asda. I was told that unless i get the postcode, she would terminate the call, incidentally, she was an AA supervisor! I had to go in the store and get the postcode. When recovery arrived, he was amazed as he said he was local and would easily have found me. About a month later, a guy came over to me and asked for my postcode, curiously i asked had he broken down? He said yes, but the AA would not come out without the postcode! They did recover him, but told him that as he was on a busy road, for safety reasons they don’t normally do roadside recovery!!! Will never use the AA again!
No what's ridiculous is you would put your credit card into a game that a child is playing and these kids know exactly what they're doing they know they're charging their parents card for it.
Why is Epic Games being blamed for not verifying that a parent is buying V-Bucks 😑 the child has betrayed your trust Linda they're lying to you cos they're rotten 😂
A lot of uk businesses have lost revenues due to not being able to advertise to a wider audience because of the 2025 plan of having everyone move to a on demand tv platform. I know advertising or commercials are annoying but they keep people in work and business do increase sales which now they cant. Well done uk thinkntanks. Netflix and amazon have cost us HOW MUCH AGAIN??
NO THEY ARE LOVELY. You are probably stupid and fake and like the kardashians. At least these presenters dont be full of plastic and shit. Shut up. LEAVE THEM ALONE
