BBC1 closedown announcer David Wheal + new BBC daytime menu 26th October 1986 

Monday 27th October 1986 was when BBC1 officially launched a substantial daytime schedule, relegating Test Card F and Pages from Ceefax accompanied by music to the pre-Breakfast Time slot although fans of Ceefax Newsreel transmission slots still had BBC2.

Sunday 26th/Monday 27th October 1986. Time on the clock: 12:22 am. Was it really necessary for them to show a daytime schedule instead of an evening schedule?

I wonder what that new Australian series, Neighbours will be like...I bet it won't last long 😉
