This video was mad helpful. I just picked the game up last week and naoto alongside es or hyde seems to be my main teams. It's impossible to find good guides for half these characters so thanks again
Some of the most common seen partners for Naoto are Merkava, Adachi, Susanoo. When you pick a partner for Naoto, try to look for someone who can easily switch sides in order to sandwich the opponent or who can air stall long enough for Naoto to use 6P. Some other niche choices that some people have gone with are Platinum, Ragna, and Makoto. Overall, Naoto can be used with almost anyone for the cast, but you should still look for tools such as non counter DP's (for unblockable instant kills), fast lows (to get the Double Fang unblockable), and good active switch points (to get shotgun super hits). If you take the time, you'll find set ups for everything I just mentioned for the partner you pick.
If your shotgun shot isn't hitting the opponent there are two factors that can cause this 1. You might be missing. The shot has a set path and changing the position of Naoto in this case may cause you to miss. In order to be consistent, I jump straight up from the jump cancelable moves. You also consider the distance between you and your opponent. In some cases, you may need to delay the super after j.C 2. Weak Starter. If you start with 2A or 4A, the ender super might dropped if you do the full loop. If this is the case, you have to end the combo early (refer to the combo section for an example)
@@blazeunity5693 Naoto/Yang is a decent team used by one Japanese player at Evo. Yang can cover her approach with Naoto 6P and Yang 5P is good for locking down opponents which can give you time to do delay airdash and other mixups. If Yang is on point, it may be difficult to Active Switch in Naoto to get the Shotgun Mark. If you're playing for instant kills, you would need to DP active switch into Naoto to hit the Shotgun Super. Naoto on point can easily get the shotgun blast. Overall the team works well. Naoto can sandwich easily but for Yang you'll need to work harder to open the opponent up.
