Once again, you make a a bit happier than I’ve been - my beloved, elderly 18 year old Husky who had been slowly becoming sick over a 2 week period, sadly, died 5 minutes before I could get home to him from work. Even worse, my son and boyfriend put him outside on his own in the yard, so he died without anyone by his side, neither his humans nor his dog companions. This breaks my heart more than his dying. Thank you for the interesting facts of the place you live. Didn’t know any of that.

I feel like the pork fruit cake could've worked with minced ham soaked in pineapple juice. Much more subtle notes of pork, more salt to counteract the sweetness, and less fat to worry about so there's no need to fear an oily mess of a cake

Probably my favorite cake is a potato torte, similar to what he made. It came from my great-grandma. She gave the recipe to my mom before my grandma (she liked my mom more lol). It's so yummy!
