Agree 100%. I’m working on this as you speak!! I’ve become a lot less accessible to people: I’ve learned numerous times that being overly friendly, accommodating, works against you and causes a lot of disrespect and betrayal. As you said make people work for it. I’m naturally very friendly,outgoing and bubbly but I’ve realized it makes people deem you as an easy target who is desperate for people to like them.

I'm naturally unavailable. I give people little sprinkles of kindness. It's something that has worked for me my entire life so i won't change it.

I love this. Its hard to be the pretty nice bubbly girl without it being taken advantage of. People often mistake your kindness as you being dumb or naive unfortunately.

I am so mind-blown, I've never thought of being inclusive as part of people-pleasing but upon reflecting, I think this has been the case for me. This has not come at a more relevant time omg. Recently, I just got hacked and scammed on my social media and I think I was way too gullible and it was because I was too nice and friendly and inclusive to everyone. My brain somehow always manages to make me think we're closer than we really are, which makes me very much so nice to people in general. Similar to what you said, I'm always the first to say thank you, the one to say hello, and come in with a smile, the one who overthinks and overapologizes, and ofc the one who is often left in "read" by people, which hurts me haha. In any case, I needed this thank you very much.

I Love being friendly with people but they are only nice when I seem mean. This is so backwards to me but this is releavnt and truthful video. sad but true because most beautiful people I know myself included are so nice inside and out but you can't live like that sadly.
