That is a valid point. This is just an ad... but there is a huge body of research behind this and similar approaches and increasing statistical evidence that the method he is promoting to be a very effective cure for depression. Of course, not all cases are curable, but many still are. and shifting perspective to lift the stigma from people suffering from depression to be an important part of this method. It's my failure as a filmmaker if this video still makes one feel that depressed people are less human. That's is surely not part of the process. The idea behind the wording was that depression is such a widespread phenomenon, that we all need to be more human. Actually being less human is actually normal these days. After thinking about your point I would rescript the voice over to say something like "Being less human causes so many of us to become depressed." Not that depressed people are less human, because of their "diagnose". I bet he is willing to chat more about the process if you contact him about it.
