Just a reminder that the prices of hardware can and will change over time. The prices you see me list were based on when I was working on the video, but now I see some of them have dropped due to discounts.

Yah prices can change but appreciate you putting in the budget option. Since getting those type of coolers during discount and sale are very good value for money.

@@navinnaido3203 yeah picking units around the same price range is necessary but so are options farther out because it's good to see context of how they all perform. If people are really getting what they pay for. And if you have an energy efficient CPU, you don't need to pay over $100 for a cooler

Im still using Dark Rock 4. Stays silent until 700rpm. Cooling is acceptable

Stay with it, I purchased elite and it’s much noisier than a rock 4 which I gave my wife. I actually regret that I’ve decided to purchase elite vs rock 4 since silence is a priority 4 me.

you can switch the fans to 2x 120mm silent wings pro 4 and get nearly identical performance to the pro 5.

@@Piepsien I ended up buying the pro 5 to improve idle temps. I still plan to buy some silent wings 4 for the case, to have better intake. Im using silent wings 3 but its only maximum 600rpm before it starts making noise

I only had a -3c improvement on my DRE vs the DRP4.... ***BUT!!*** I had a Silent Wings 4 HS extra attached at the rear of the DRP4.

So you had a total of 3 fans on the DRP4? That's a good adjustment

When you added 3rd fan on ther rear of DRP4, how much decrease of temp in C did you have? Did you track your metric before and after adding 3rd? I have DRP4 and i dont know is it worth installing 3rd fan...

@@alennovoselic183 I actually never ran the DRP4 without the 3rd fan on the rear. The pump on my AIO broke down, so I found the backup DRP4 to use until I got the DRE.

air cooler vs aio should be based on what case it's going into first. performance wise depending on what CPU you have, you may not need to pay more for an aio. air coolers also last longer and won't fail because it doesn't have a pump inside, only thing that can fail eventually is the fan(s) which are much easier and cheaper to replace.
