i love the way she expresses the fact that even though it didn’t work out, she still wishes him the best and that she’s grateful for the loss. It’s like a song to finally say goodbye to all the memories in the past. it’s so bittersweet and i love it so much

Cool basslines, and cool spacing in the lyrics. I love the pause before the lyric "I guess it's just the way things go" as though it's pondered, realized and actualized on the spot. This is why I love whatever Beabadoobee is (Band or Solo?), it's just so much better than most.

I dont know why, but this song reminds of losing a loved one (especially a loved one who died from circumstances like Alzheimer's, Cancer, etc). If you changed the last few lyrics to the love you said you had it always showed, it would especially resonate.I know it wasn't Bea's intention for the song to be about that, but I like to listen to it since it reminds me of my grandpa and I miss him dearly.
