I loved the look of that Turbot so delicate and pretty, the missus used to look like that, you know the delicate and pretty look. 37 years later instead of being the "bait" to catch the prey am now the"prey". Thank you for your videos.
Informative and enjoyable as always.🧑🎓😀 Quiet, relaxing session, with a nice little flounder and a stunning turbot. 🎣🎣👏👏 Thank you for sharing.👍 Take care and stay safe.😷🙊
Love the respect you have for the fish mate..I see so many sea fishing just rip the hooks out and just throw them back with no regards for the fish mate..deep hook the bleeding these fish just become crab meat..on of the best sea fishing channels on here pal..been watching you for Yeats mate..feel free to post up your videos in my group pal..teach people the right way mate
Another great video Gary. Very pretty little Turbot. Not had so much time for RU-vid recently - think I overdosed a bit last year! I've used that knot you tied your hook on with since I was a child, but I found last year that they were pulling out no matter how carefully I pulled the knot down. I tend to stick to the Uni knot now. Tight lines, stay safe & well, Dave.
Thanks Dave, I think the knot can be improved by tucking the tag end back through the other loop it creates before bedding the knot down, but it's probably best to stick with what works for you. Tight lines mate.
Thanks mate, I've got a few fishing trips away planned over the next couple of weeks but give me a shout when your around here and if I'm about I'll join yous.
Hi Mike, I'm good thanks for asking. I've just been a bit busy over the last couple of months. I'll be heading out soon and getting more videos uploaded over the summer.
Cheers gary. Will do. Tried the pedestrian tunnel entrance which I think I saw on one of your videos from a few years ago. Plenty of rats but not many fish.
@@fishingintheukgarywood like a 4-5 inch curly tail grub from agm lurefishing with like a 10g jighead or so? might give it a shot at the old low lights beach, if the flounder are still inshore
Great stuff, just a question about the first fish. Was it deep hooked, is that why you had to cut the hook. Have you seen the method to unhook deep hooked flounder through the gill plate?
Thanks Richard, yes it was deep hooked. Yes I saw that unhooking meathod a few years back on Billy's channel, but I'm not sure it would have worked on a small fish. I thought it would be less damaging to the fish to just cut the line, then the barb would rust off the hook relatively quickly in the salt water, and the fish would spit the hook.
@@fishingintheukgarywood It might have worked Gary since you used quite small hooks. It's not a method I've tried but I will if I get a deep hooked one. Yes I'm sure the barb will rust quite quickly and hope the fish manages to spit the hook.
