Your bang right Aaron, best I've ever done at beach is £1.36 in modern coins and a hair slide, but for me everytime my simplex beeps it's the not knowing and even when you've dug it out and you know, it's the not knowing what's In the next hole. After 5 months I love this hobby and wish I had started years ago. Great honest video mate. #beauty
#Bugger You are so right about beach detecting Arron. I've been detecting for nearly 3 years proper and nearly 20 years on and off before that. I've only ever found 1 gold ring, zero hammered coins and an immense amount of rubbish! It doesn't stop me from detecting, especially on the beach which is at minimum 70 miles away from where I live, but I love to wander by shore line and recover ring pulls for some strange reason. Its not about the finds for me, its the solitude and peace I get from swinging the coil. Great video pal that highlights the reality of our beloved hobby. Keep safe and keep sane!....cheers....
My last 3 hunts with the nox has just been trash. Doesn’t matter which machine you have if it’s not there your not going to find it 😃 I like sticker one #beauty
Great video! same up on the east Yorkshire and Lincolnshire coast, loads of trash and people not filling in their holes, they just seem to think the sea will take care of it. As for the newbies you could always film a couple of pieces of trash, concentrate on the good finds for your videos then show the pile of trash in your round up just to show the reality. Stay safe and happy hunting #beauty
Have been searching for six hours on a field today, one coin, two bagseals and the rest.... crap!! Part off the hobby, had a great day!! Take care there on the other side of the channel!!
Absolutely spot on Aaron. As youtubers we probably come across as if we only find good stuff but in reality we find ALOT more trash! Great video as always mate and well put and edited 🙂👌👍 looking forward to the next 👌 My vote is #beauty
just started hobby bought apex ace been out twice to local beach got nothing but crap..even a car tyre about 18 inches down but still love it...since bought a simplex too and cant wait to get out with it
Love my Nox 800, upgrade from explorer xs. It loves deep targets, but Sussex beaches when tide is out digging through tough rock and use of great hand tool. No fork would get though. Fingers hurting. Then just as you want to give up a necklace pendant turns up. Must be an easier way to dig this rocky beach
I started September 2020 and only had 6 good finds, and one was a ring the lady had lost in her field, and the guy I go with been 25 years detecting and no gold, fabulous episode 👍
A lot of new starters think it's coin, ring, coin, necklace, ring etc,, most of us know it couldn't be further from the truth...and it can take hours just to find anything worth mentioning,,if anything at all. My vote would be #BEAUTY .. GL,,,HH,,,,stay safe,,,,George
Hi Arron , never a truer word said mate it's the main reason newbies pack up ! they see certain channels and every time they go out it's silver and gold every time !! yea ok i dont think so , we both know what it's really like lol , well done for showing it like it really is , and well done on the 7k you deserve it pal ATB Rob .
Just started detecting and within 5 mins found a gold ring, but have now spent 3 days digging ring pulls and bottle caps, still loving it, did have 1 bloke ask if I had found anything, I had just got a 20p, he then said my daughter just found 20p with a detector oh how he laughed as he walked away. Knob head lol
I got lucky, I found a badge from 1933 on my second time out. The first being just detecting my yard. It’s where I chose to hunt I think. Oldest house still standing in my county. I’ve since found hundreds of targets, mostly trash. But it inspired me to hunt because of the first real treasure being so early in my metal hunting career. I’m about a month in so far and this hobby is awesome.
Great video, Aaron , what a great video sending a real honest message to newbie metal Detectorists, it’s very inspiring for newbies to watch , so that they don’t loose interest in the hobbie 👍thanks for sharing #youBeauty
great video.....any detectorist needs 2 things 1 sence of humor 2 understanding anything is possible on any given day. metal detecting is like realestate location-location-location. If you go to a place seldom visited not much chance of finding lost stuff, high concentration of people visiting lot more stuff. The beach it constantly morphing with each tide and or storm, it pushed sand and targets in or pulls sand out exposing targets that were to deep to detect before. Those are the good stuff, so look for low areas, surface rocks in a sandy beach is a great indicator of the hardpan as it were, and if you ever panned for gold thats where it stops sinking. Just my opinion. Possibilities! (it will all make sense after your first gold coin or ring find)
#Beauty I’m new to detecting and bought the Nox 800. Doing beaches and it’s mainly trash days but did find a small gold ring and a couple of George V Half Pennies. Just got a couple of permissions and looking forward to giving them a go. One of them includes an 18th century walled garden 😄
It all depends on the beach, my local one at southwick they move the shingle around so when it’s big shingle all I find is bottle tops and junk but when the heavy winds and storms have moved all the placed shingle and leaves the natural beach it’s coins, fishing weights and other heavy small finds
I can agree with you more. Hunting on the beach is not a day into the park. But when ya find something good it's sure to be a #BEAUTY!! Thanks for sharing and hats off to you and 7k subs.
first congratulations on the 7k and very true we don't film all the junk if followers are willing to watch a 4hr video then fair doods we record it all. and what madness if someone thought carry around to detectors 🤣🤣 to find the stuff you have put in the hours. and a little knowledge about the beach helps alot. hot spots what I like to call it. hope newbies understand now it not all easy work. 😉👍👍
It's good to see a video that tells you if you put the hours in you will find and Bucket of rubbish and a old pound coin if you lucky. Nice selection of stickers but the one for me is BEAUTY
I mate I went to same beach on Friday night and on Sunday on Friday night I came away with a Pandora daisy ring and on Sunday I came away with 925 gate chain I think that's what it the chain weighs 67g I agree with your video you have good days and you have bad keep swinging.
The truth is spot on.....we spend hours picking up trash but its an addiction! And we love it! Great video and I hope you are enjoying the nox still? #bugger
#beauty Great to see the real side of detecting. It's the getting out in the fresh air and the bonus of nice finds now and then that count and that's where the addiction lies.
#beauty I'm sure I spied your Ace 250 in the background were you getting the targets with it then flaunting the Nox lol, Great video mate and I couldn't believe that post either. I for one mostly do honest detecting and show most things I find I wish I found enough amazing things to fill each video lol.
# Beauty does it for me Aaron, love seeing that little smile on your face when you pull up some 'gold', shortly before you find out it's costume jewellery ;-)
Its always good to see a reminder on how a normal days detecting can be trash trash and more trash with as you call it a few heartbreaks lol well done arron well put together buddy as always #DIRTBOX
Simplex competes with all metal detectors it’s fantastic value for money,I have the simplex nox ctx deus and whites tdi and the simplex is not out of place in my armoury
#Bugger, the dreaded 2p but I got to admit when you see it first as a coin and not Tat it's a winner for me and my Garrett ace 300i, I'm a Newbie and loving it. Good luck to all
Well said mate nobody sees the carrier bag of ring pulls and bottle tops and nothing from the council for cleaning the beach 😂😂😂 loved the video you mad bugger #beauty for me looks great 👍👊🎧👊
Bugger King and you're definitely right about metal detecting on the beach a lot of times you just fine rubbish Erin good luck be safe and keep on making your videos
Great video Aaron shows us newbies the truth about beaches. Got my Simplex set up better and now getting the coins. I like Oh you beauty but # dirt box gets my vote
As much as I love your Dirt Box Arron, it's the Bugger King for me! I spotted the t-shirt during this video and thought I want that now I want the Bugger King sticker too lol! I'm glad you brought the bugger back 😁 #BUGGER
I seem to find more at low tide and get down near the water I get alot more money this way and heavier materials i seem to find more bottle can pulls further up the beach because they are light and get pushed further up.
#beauty - I wanted to type dirtbox anyway just because lol but great sticker ideas. Congrats on 7K and thanks for showing people that its not all good. Im guilty of not showing many days out finding bugger all
Great video on beach detecting, good on you mate for showing just how hard it can be detecting the beach. I detect on my local beach in Bridlington East Yorkshire. People must also learn how to read the beach, i.e. where finds could accumulate, in gully`s, and cuts on the beach, the black sand area`s and down the sides of groyne's.
#beauty. Just found your channel I also liked the dirt box you made. I think I will make me one as newby so I can get to know my tones. You should patent that.
#Beauty . its about time people realised we dont find gold and silver all the time ...................... especially on a beach. finds are based on either the richness in history of the land you are detecting, the type of beach if you beach detect (some beaches can be full of people, but if they are not swimming or the beach doesnt have facilities nearby to spend money on, picking can be slim. land or beaches can have limitless goodies buried BUT you have to walk over it to find it. dont give up people, your next hunt COULD be your beat yet. 😃
Cracking honest video arron !! 😊 think he needs to watch some more videos to see the true hobby !! I started early this year and hunted hours on the beach find loads of stuff but like you said .... mostly trash .... that trash still my treasure !! 😊I’ve got tins full of iron nails screws .... tin cans lids bbq’s...minuscule pieces of aluminium haha.....lead bullets.... and 303’s.... and my army Swiss knife best find haha 😆 still to find the gold haha I just love the hobby and get a buzz when find something don’t care what it is ... to be honest ... the feeling of uncertainty is the excitement for me .... not been out in ages ...beach detect is all I do lol 😂..... #Bugger 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
#Beauty Great video, chap. Very familiar kind of hunt to those of us who know. Definitely good for newbies to see the reality. We'll definitely sort a trip back to the manor once Lockdown V.2 is over! 😃😎👍🏻
Oh it has to be #bugger One thing folk forget about beach detecting is that not every beach is a busy one full of folk dropping stuff. Especially at this time of year. Some beaches just don't have enough footfall to expect great finds from it.
I would love to beach detect as I am in the woods and so tired of people seeing me all scratched up from thorn bushes and such and they look at me like I am a lepor
It goes to show that these days, people don’t care about the truth. They care for image and self indulgence. If someone does or says a lot of trash, people like it whether it’s a load of lies or not. Anyone who does reveal the truth is trolled and trampled ridiculed and everything else online trolls can achieve. Guessing that’s why the likes and dislikes are disabled. Honest content is the best content.
Ive been beach detecting for 32 years, Worthing use to be very good for old coins, gold rings, even gold coins, Now, crap its nearly all gone, to many people doing it
#bugger - Right, now that's out the way! As for the fella who claims you may be pulling the wool... I'm a new detectorist. I ONLY own a Simplex (got it because of you and Merrill) and we use it almost exclusively at the beach. WoW - the fun of it all - can't credit getting a detector enough... the fun of it all! We have learned so much about detecting - by using an "entry level" detector! And yes, we have dug more buggering TAT than we care to think about! In fact - after watching on of Lori's latest posts I will be calling it SCAT... so, watch out for my scat alerts! OH bugger... I've prattled on far too long! PS - congrats on 7K - great prises on offer... bugger, if only I could find my first ring!
@@SouthCoastDetecting Thanks - that's what I find so confusing in beach mode... we just found and dug a euro 2c at 98! New one, not rusted yet... so, we usually steer clear of high 90's but... 🤔🤔
