The council man with the clip board is the dating agency man from only fools and horses on the episode dates! When Delboy says he’s called Derek Douval 😂
@@sphynxster06 and game for laugh; generation game; Friday nights Thought LWT Bruce's Play your cards right after Runaround with Mike Reid "Frank Butcher"
I miss the 80’s, I was growing up and times seemed so much better and safer. Used to love watching Saturday night TV. Beadle was class and if you’ve never seen the ‘UFO’ prank, it’s a fricking classic and I think it’s on RU-vid. “Would you like a cup of tea.” 😂
@@MrNifts Yes Sir. I’m guessing we’re of similar age (50’s), there was more respect, we had a healthy fear of the police, teachers and other adults. I know every generation says ‘kids these days’ but seriously, kids these days are feral, mannerless gits. I’m generalising but hope you get my drift. We had our innocence and were quite happy watching Big Daddy batter Giant Haystacks followed by beans in toast and a slice of Batternberg. I’m glad I’ll be six feet under when the sh*t really hits the fan. Moan over. 😂
@@JAY1892 Agreed. You used to get a clip round the earhole for being a pain in the ... and it was usually deserved, You took it on the chin, didn't go running to police etc and if you told your parents if someone else done it they usually gave you one as well lol.
5:06 brilliant line....classic rubbing salts in the wounds to wind it up even more.... great upload. had seen this on another site only recently. how many layers did he want to take off showing he was up for a bit of fisty cuffs. he wasn't joking either. they didn't half rush Beadle in quick when they could see he was ready to hit out.
Brilliant ! Proper old school that bloke ; we have lost our balls in todays society . Now it’s full of 6 ft tall cross dressers called Brian ,prancing about in their size 10 heels , weeping into their vegan plant smoothies.
shame Beadle died so young ( late 50's ) - he was a good entertainer beadles about was excellent - you could not do this program nowadays 50+% of the pranks would probably lead to a fatality
They couldn’t make prank shows this savage on mainstream TV now. The actors would be assaulted constantly. People were much more controlled back then, even under stress. 😂
@@glossypompom4465 I was going to say the same, I think the main problem would be from lawsuits filed against the producers from snowflakes afterwards saying the prank caused me undue stress... or whatever
A family friend of mine called Dennis watts was a regular actor on beadles about but had to stop because he started to get recognised, he was in the episode where a house owner got so angry that he stabbed him in the arm with a gardening fork.
Brilliant......oh the days when TV was actually funny and people could laugh even the most ridiculous situations off. Kind of ironic though that the world is so upside down now that things like this would actually happen, and no one is there to tell you its all a prank.
Brilliant, clever and hilarious manipulation of group dynamics and the human condition. Jeremy was the brains behind it all and as can be seen here - he steps in at the perfect moment. This stuff won't be seen again in our lifetimes at the very least and his show is much missed. I got his autograph towards the very end of his life as he was sat outside a cafe in Burton on Trent and he was a gentleman. Watch Out! he wrote.
Imagine doing a prank like this today, people would pull out knives and really start fighting, England was a good place years ago and people spoke English everything's slang nowadays
Nice info (yes, I now recognise him from Only Fools). I’ve seen a lot of these people on Beadles About on other UK shows. Terry Malloy (not in this prank) played Davros in 80’s Dr Who.
Jeremy Beadle was the best, and i remember looking at him on TV when I was litle.. Nice to look back at this great mans work. Jeremy Beadle was the greatest :) he was simply the best....
jokes aside. this is actually what they do in our country. when you change something from the original they put you on the streets eventhough you make it better
JB = genius, Had me in stitches but with UK state of dire economy (getting worse with Interest rate and bill rises) had me crying as well. Prank by Jeremy Beadle (Superb Prankster).
Absolutely loved Jeremy, I think if he was still alive he would have entered and won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here by now, and I am sure he would still be doing stuff like this to rival Ant and Dec.
Nevermind the fake bullshit you see on Social media, these were the original and best 'real' pranks from the late, great Jeremy Beadle, along with Candid Camera from America.
Matey from the council was from the technomatch dating agency in OFAH ‘Dates’. The names Derek Duvall 😂 you gonna stick that on your floppy disk or what.
Great clip , i`ve noticed though that the reaction of the "target" in this and other "Beadles about" clips is more "in your face" and a lot more bleeps then the "Candid Camera" ones from the 1970s when the public were more innocent and on the whole maybe a bit more gentle and naive in a nice way , goodness knows if "Beadles About" was done now ( without JB of course but same format ) , it`s sad in a way.....great man Jeremy Beadle ( and all the Candid Camera presenters who have left us....
He's a real tough guy. He tries to be polite and reasonable at first, but when they cross the line and say they're going to flog his own property, he doesn't hesitate to put up his fists. That's a real man.
You’ll never get those days back again forget it I wonder if that guy still alive the man who owns the house it’s such a long time ago he may have passed away how about the white XR3i Convertible that was probably a couple years old
I occasionally hear from friends and relatives of people who have been pranked who are happy that these funny reactions live on here for people to enjoy. Unfortunately it’s couldn’t be done in 2024 if Jeremy was still with us humour is becoming a thing of the past (at least where it comes to TV pranks and phone pranks on the radio).
This is my grandad!☺️ Unfortunately he passed away in 2020 but we always talked about this and laughed about it! Very thankful to have this uploaded and something we can watch back as a family and laugh about!
That drive was an old one, this is just a set up, that guy wasn’t a man with a fiery temper. He was fairly calm as far as I could see. And couldn’t I detect a look of “knowing” on his face. Al in all a load of old ball ox.
I used to enjoy watching this but this episode is quite shocking because if that was my house I'd be fuming no matter what it was about TV show or what you just don't do this to people's homes
