Pro Tip: This seems to have some kind of algorithm built in, so you can pick a preset that you like and then use the randomization feature. You will notice that it generates similar effect chains in the style of the selected preset by keep pressing the randomization feature. You can also import your own textures and use them with randomization. While Sound Doctor by Unison Audio being the best effects plugin i own ( by far ), the BEAM in combination with Sound Doctor is absolutely wild !!

Great overview, especially with the intro price offer…. Why is there no panning parameter….lush sounds, though some distortion to push the reverb would definitely be welcome in the updates…

Well, the fx are not really nothing new at all and you can get those modulations with regular plugins. I mean, you pay because of the animations etc, but the fxs are quite regular

This looks like a smartphone game … and why not doing the same with all those great plugs you already have doing the same routing within your DAW without such a toy-like game UI …? And when i hear „there will be a whole new ecosystem“ … well no thanks … no interest in future micro transactions … ;) Better get proper tools.

agree, Arturia has also been making these abstract UI for FX lately. I personally find UI like FabFilter’s much more useful - show the waveform, show the effect on the waveform.

It is a funny comment from someone who is making videos using Bitwig and Phase Plant. So yeah FX Layer and your vst plugins collection. One just needs something like MGranularMB, Portal, Fragments,... In Studio One, you have splitter device which gives you graph representation of fx chain. It is not glowing, moving, but honestly working on soundtrack to some animated short and having to watch this glowing UI would make me crazy. It is like going to paint landscape picture to cheap neon jet set bar with some elevator music...

@@silspok I think it’s a nice change from another hardware emulation boring plugin. There’s a lot of science on visuals in relation to sound and creativity stimulus. It’s actually why bitwig is orange. It’s ok if you don’t like it, but idk what me using any of what you described has to do with my sentiment or my comment to the op

Pretty poor quality DSP on this plugin. I bought it and the sound quality wasn't very good. Far better alternatives out there. Don't fall for the blingy graphics.

When visual representation in audio plug-ins try to manipulate viewers in seeing something cool and new … combine it with a clearly biased advertisement video and you get the result: No thanks!!! All this video does is reducing your reputation in my opinion. That‘s sad since you have many inspiring videos.

7 minutes in, and I'm hearing whats described as "next level". Hoping I hear what Beam truly does as per control, routing, etc. Ok, after all that, beam seems to be more eye candy than quantifiable control parameters. But hey, works for some. Not a big fan of Granular. I'd hope for more production control than orbs and doo-dad fx. Thx for the review.

I wonder however, since you mention ecosystem a few times, will the future node modules be free or part of paid expansions? Will they be adding the Cube stuff to this and/or vice versa somehow? How is it going to be an ecosystem?
