I'm so glad you post these lovely videos. Where I live, if a bear got this close to humans, it would be put down. Long ago they did away with relocating them higher up in the mountains. It's such a shame we have such little regard for our wild neighbors..they were here first and we invaded their space. Thank you again for sharing your neighbors

That was a nice little visit! Ruby was just checking for bird seed, and she was very good about not expressing her disappointment. I like how she just looked up at Patrick without a care in the world! She knows Patrick enjoys her visits, so she feels very safe. She has a few thin patches in her fur, but otherwise she’s looking great (definitely eating well!).

What a wonderful life it must be for you and for your visitors. It is so beautiful and serene and there is a great mutual respect and trust. That is a life I would love to have - I watched the clip with Simone earlier today and wondered what that glorious colourful tree is and also what bird is chirping? I live in Australia in an apartment - not what I want to do. Serenity and wildlife that feel safe is what more people should embrace rather than hunting. To me, Patrick, you appear to be living the dream x
