Dignity of Spirit, I just love this song, the way they go though the gear changes though out the song. A mellow ballad right the way though to what should be chaos, no just is no room for a mistake. This is a Touhou arrangement gig, so the way the band dress's is chosen by Fuki, and they are all dressed a characters from the Touhou universe. Fuki is a Sugino fashion college costume creation graduate. I find the word beast is used for so many drummers these days. Most people who have a favorite band will say the drummer is a beast, you almost need a new word for what Fumiya is behind that drum kit. As you say he must feel it after this song, the thing is you could say that to about 95% of Unlucky Morpheus songs. I saw them play at a festival, so they only did an hour and a bit set and he was like this all the way though it, and they do sets that can last 90 min's to 2 1/2 hours. Fumiya just put's his body though hell and back, unfortunately it has got to a point it has started to effect his body and he may have to retire soon. Can I just give a shout out to the most over looked member of the band, Ogawa on bass. Yes he does what he needs to do and no one tends to notice, but he has to keep up with the complete maniac behind the drum kit, and the 2 of them together are the powerhouse behind the band. And he is really a Jazz bassist, he does not look at himself as a metal bassist.

This live version of Dignity of Spirit is an absolute masterpiece. Good music isn't dead. It's just lost in the commercial rubbish that now dominates Western airwaves.

Great comment! The vocalist is from a fashion college. The drummer was in the Japanese super-technical metal band "Galneryus". There are numerous male, female and mixed gender bands in Japan. In other words, without some special features or outstanding playing skills, we cannot stand at the top of the Japanese music scene.
