Thank you so much for the super informative video! I love that there’s always something new to learn when keeping reptiles. Question; Is there a Verm-X equivalent that you know of that is available in the US? Is Repashy similar enough?

Really love that you mentioned Verm-x. I discovered this when researching natural ways to “worm” my tortoise, and have since been using it for my beardie and leos too

Hi thanks for all your content .I have not owned a beardie for many years IAM now getting everything together to care for another beardie. Your contact has blown my mind how things have changed now. So with that said can you just give me a bit of info please ..after watching your lighting podcast I took in as much as I could. 4x2x2. Viv bought two arcadia t 5uvb 12% and 6% a arcadia jungle dawn led.. and basking lamp.i want to stagger the lights coming on and off so as to replicate sun rise and set as near as I can ..got a rough idea but the led has kind of thrown another concept I can't quite get to grips with ...or if anyone on here can help I'd be grateful. I'm not getting the beardie until I'm sure I've got everything set for them no matter how long it takes thankyou

Hello just wanted some advice I follow Arcadia supplement program, earth pro a for 3 days then calcium mg , 3 days of earth a then one day d3 boost . My question is do I need a extra vitimin supplement every 2 weeks
@lisazeigler8630
@lisazeigler8630 13 дней назад
Do I need both calcium with d3 and without d3? I see a lot of charts that say that should be given calcium every day rotating between the 2. And multi vitamins once a week. I only feed bugs 2x a week is that going to be enough calcium or should I be putting it on greens too? Sorry if I missed it in the video and you already mentioned it. Right now I only have without d3.

I understand the consideration of utilizing carotenoids as a precurser to a to avoid overdosing on a fat soluble vitamin. However, have you seen the research out there showing that they and many other species of reptile are unable to convert beta carotene and need a preformed vitamin a (like retinol) in order to actually utilize it as a? Theres a ton of research showing how beneficial carotene is in addition, but that it might not be able to provide the functions vitamin a performs since it is not able to be adequately converted

So if I decide to dust every live feed with earth pro A, I don’t then need to use a multi vitamin once every 2 weeks. Literally just earth pro A every day ? Thanks

no earth pro A every live feed and then use a multi every 2 weeks as well

This is the most frustrating part of owning a dragon for me. I love how you break this down but I’m still confused. Perhaps I’m dense. When you refer to pure calcium, is that with or without D3. Would I be fine just using the Repashy Calcium plus supplement on every protein feeding? Or do I need additional vitamins as well, not including the probiotics. Would love to know your thoughts.
@ReptilesandResearch
@ReptilesandResearch 9 месяцев назад
I mean a calcium suppliment that is literally just calcium carbonate poweder and nothing else. The repashy calcium plus is a multivitamin so id use that as your multivitamin once a fortnight and then get yourself a calcium powder. Hope that helps.
@javiervalle3770

So a pure calcium powder for every protein feed (no need to have D3?) And the repashy multi vit and im squared away? Do I need calcium with D3 or is that covered in the Repashy? Thanks for reposting!! I hardly ever subscribe to channels but definitely subscribed to yours!

@@javiervalle3770 d3 is covered in the multivitamin but also by the uvb. Other than that yes you’re squared. Thanks welcome aboard 😊😊

New beaddie owner here, have a young juvenile that we believe is male, haven't even had him for a week yet, but he seems to be doing REALLY WELL so far. He's even esting some salads. So, question: there's a bearded dragon subreddit I've joined and many on there have said that beardies CAN OD on vitamin D, that you should use a calcium product that's just straight calcium. What I have is the calcium/vitamin d mix. It's kinda frustrating because it seems like so many people have differing opinions on this, kinda like how some claim too many mealworms are bad because they can cause blockage and other say dragons need a wide variety and most handle mealworms just fine. I've been giving Drax the Repti calcium with vitamin d since we brought him home and he seems fine with it, but of reddit I'm worried about the vitamin d OD... In your opinion (I will not hold it against you) you're saying that really shouldn't be a worry? Even for a juvie (I think might be barely 5 months old, IF that)?

To summarize: Calcium with or without D3: Every day with bugs Optional* Arcadia EarthPro-A: Every day with bugs Multivitamin: once every 2 weeks Verm-x or other probiotic: once every two weeks OR first 3 days of the month Thanks so much for making this video btw! Supplements have been quite the headache to get everything sorted, so getting a clear guide on what to do is very helpful. Loving all the new videos lately, keep it up!
