I had one of first few of Dana'a Terraplanes from before Dana moved to Bozeman from the Black Hills. Later I got a prototype Bomb Pack. I let the original Terraplane go in a trade and upgraded to a 10 yr Anniversary model which is still in my quiver. I'm proud to say the last time we counted, our family had over 60 Kletterworks, Quest, MoJo, Dana Designs, and Mystery Ranch products in every product line Dana has produced through the years and several prototypes that never made it into production. We're an active family born & raised in Bozeman, hunting, hiking, climbing, skiing, Professional Ski Patrol, Search & Rescue, Wildlands Fire Fighter, and more. Great stuff. I bought a metcalf for hunting season last year and was lucky enough to get a cow elk while by my self. I was able to carry it out in 2 heavy loads boned out 3 miles. Talk about putting it to the test. It performed great.

GoHunt is the bomb! I'm a full time student in nurse anesthesia school and I cant help but take study breaks (Too many breaks) and watch all of your content and dream about the day I'm done school and pick up some of this gear. The sweetest thing about Mystery Ranch is its built rock solid! Not to mention just right over the hill from where I live. These things will haul elk out all day, which just happens to be my favorite game!

What an awesome story. Just got my first mystery ranch pack in the mail today can’t wait to use it this fall elk hunting.

I have and still LOVE my DD Still Water pack. In 2000 I rewalked Colin Fletcher's 1000 Summer and though it weighs about 8 lbs empty... I NEVER leave home without it. Though UL gear may have a place, this is absolutely BOMBPROOF!!!! Killer pack, killer company... STILL!!! Thanks Dana for doing a great job...

I love mystery ranch and how well they are made. A friend of my got violently I'll hiking the AT. With the Overload pack he was able to carry his wife (100-110 soaking wet as they say) strapped to the extended part of his pack and her Mystery Ranch pack strapped to his front side 2 days to the next town to get her to a hospital. I have since only use mystery ranch packs for anything. This was a great video! Now I NEED a mini pack like he showed at the end of the video! That would be a great gift for fellow hikers and livers of mystery ranch! I hope they start making and selling those too!

Dana builds the best packs...Period. I have a Bomb Pack from 1994, that I still hunt with. The only thing I’ve ever had to replace was a zipper, and that was after 20 years.

I loved my issues trizip 3 day assault so much I didn’t give it back to the Marine Corps. It’s mine forever.

I get a kick when AT Freeway survivors comment on my big terraplane. I was drawn to its suspension as i had 3 spine fractures. it handle the issues. Secondly I love to eat on the trail and carry a kitchen. Thirdly I as an outdoor leader carry emergency gear when needed. 20 miles a day aint This guy.

For a Hunting pack in the $400+ range, I'd rather spend it on a Made in USA pack (such as a Kifaru). Not something made in the Phillipines.

I was going to buy a Metcalf until I found out they are made overseas, what a crock of Sh! I will buy a pack made in the US
