GT626 Laptop Cooler Review - The Ultimate Beast for Keeping Your Laptop Cool!"
Hey everyone, I'm back with another exciting gadget video, and I want to thank you all for your understanding and support during this difficult time. I apologize for the lack of consistent content recently as I've been coping with the passing of my dear mom.
In this episode, I'm thrilled to share my experience with the GT626, an absolute beast of a laptop cooler! If you're tired of your laptop overheating during intense gaming sessions or heavy workloads, this cooler is a game-changer.
Vast majority of the people with high end gaming laptops probably already got GT500 from IETS or GT300.
recently got GT500 and purchased GT600 just few days ago and I've concluded some of the advantages for people who might be interested:
GT 500 (Top spec version) Specs:
1. 5000 RPM industrial fan that can get you up to
10-15 degree Celcius temperature difference.
2. Max wind pressure: 38.6 MmH20, Max air volume: 51.25 CFM
3. Power adapter: DC12V 2A (though it website shows 18W required not 24W)
4. Weight: 1.15KG
5. RGB light and ush hub up to 3 us type A ports.
6. Noise level: max fan can go up to 75-80 db (A)
GT600 (Top sepc version) Specs:
1. 2800 RPM industrial fan that can get you up to
15-20 degree celcius temperature difference. (based on my testing and it is able to cover the center top part unlike GT500).
2. Max wind pressure: 71.9 MmH20, didn't show air volume
3. Power adapter: DC12V 4A (48W), since they're only available in China (Taobao) the adapter is using 220V. Be aware if you want to grab one
4. Weight: 1.3 KG
5. RGB light and ush hub up to 3 usb type A ports,
6. Noise level: max fan can go up to 60 db (A) based on my test.
Follwing are my personal experience and opinion after using both cooling pad:
1. GT600 can easily reach GT500's max cooling performance (75-80db (A)) with only 1200-1500
rpm (50db (A)). The noise level under 1700 (around 51 db (A)) is very good. (I tested with alienware x17 r2, 12th gen).3080ti
2. GT600's filter uses aterials like the mask, it can filter out all particles unlike GT500, saves you time to clean up your laptop.
3. GT600's control pannel now shows number unlike
GT500, you can slide through to turn up/down fan
RPM (+ or - 100). The power/GB button are now at the front. The panel actually only shows icon and doesn't have clicky touch, you will be able to identify whether you clicked the button by listening to the beep sound.
4. GT600's size is identical to the GT500, the foam is also the same, but the inner space has better design to let intake air flow towards laptop.
5. Holder design is same.
6. Overall build quality is same. Both

The problem I have with this new version is the airt intake being underneath....with the GT500 I can sit on the sofa with the cooler on my lap and it works...can't do that with the new one

I just got the IETS GT600, not so much for the cooling but for the filter (cooling is a bonus though), there was a lot of lint in the last cleaning, so far keeping the fan running at 800, it's rather quiet, like white noise. The foam seals the bottom very well, can feel cooler air already coming out from the side and rear vents, big thumbs up. The USB hub on the left is... disappointing, not much use for it after trying it for a few hours, so switched USB to my regular usb3 hub.
@they_arent_human
@they_arent_human 6 месяцев назад
What's wrong with the USB ports?
@LoneTiger
@LoneTiger 6 месяцев назад
@@they_arent_human 1. You need a USB-C cable to connect the hub to a USB-C port on your laptop, or use an adapter to connect to a USB-3 instead, and the distance to connect them is 10cm or so, try to find a small enough cable. 2. The hub only has 3 USB ports. 3. The ports themselves feel flimsy, usb cables jiggle connected to these ports. Honestly, I already had a 7 port, powered, USB-3 hub and that is far better than the 3 port hub on the side of the cooling pad.
@they_arent_human
@they_arent_human 5 месяцев назад
@@LoneTiger damn. The hub in looking at is dell and costs like 3 or 400. Don't want to drop that much on a hub but the best option ive found. Has like 17 connections. Making me thing I should just get cheaper cooler. Trying to figure what cooler I should get.
@LoneTiger
@LoneTiger 5 месяцев назад
@@they_arent_human I'm using an Atolla, powered USB Hub 3.0, with 7 USB ports, it cost me $22.00 bucks, the laptop cooling pad is worth it though, you can probably get the IETS 500 for $70.00, it has no HUB and no RGB lights.

You should try out the Llano. Its quite loud 70ish db (but mate, while gaming you are using headphones anyways) and it cools almost 10 degrees more than the 626. And honestly you only really need it at 1200 rpm as it cools my laptop from 95 to 65-70 which is amazing. (and that lowers the db to 60ish)
@joshchacko7729

I have heard that this pad doesn't work that well with the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i, apparently one of the key issues being a very hot keyboard deck. As the Llano seems to employ a different approach to cooling, do you think it might be more effective?
@RISINTECH
@RISINTECH 10 месяцев назад
@@joshchacko7729 honestly I do not have liano, but from what I see is work almost the same as gt600 sucking air from the bottom to pump it inside the cooler air while having that seal to close it so the cool air sits inside, now so far with all the cooling pad I tested my gt 626 has been working very well and like @thefoxmoonlight say there is no need to even past 1600rpm , my default gaming setting right now is 1300 rpm and the wind sound is fine.

Why would you say it’s quieter with the laptop on it and then not put a laptop on it at max fan speed so we can hear a difference?
@RISINTECH
@RISINTECH Год назад
Ok let me explain, the laptop act like a seal that cover the whole laptop cooler so is quieter then having it without, just imagine aircon compressor is on and your window is open, u can clearly hear the noise that is generating and if u close your window u still can hear it but much less. Your not gonna use max speed unless your laptop fan is broken because is overkill, I am using in between 1100 rpm to 1800rpm for my max usage and my laptop is already cool enough. Unless your room temp is extremely hot then I guess u can turn all the way up to 2800rpm. And yes u can definitely can hear the different between having a laptop on top of the cooling pad and without it, overall there will be fan noise on whichever your speed is at. Hope this answer your question if u do please subscribe and thanks you for the support

@@odarkos lowest speed u can do it is rpm100 but usually u would go for 500 to 1000, the reason why I say the noise is lower then transition cooling pad is because your laptop sits on top of the cooling pad that is seal from the foam design, therefore it acts like a noise cancellation, but that is only up to 1000rpm once u start to go above u can start hearing the fan noise. Hi there I’m planning to have this cooling pad but I have a question, why would you use a usb to the cooling pad if it has an adapter ? My laptop reaches 99 degrees which is crazy. I’m just not sure why would you use a usb in the cooling pad ?
@RISINTECH

The usb is a extension hub! Is not for your cooler power supply, it is require to plug in the AC adapter to power this and boy.

It'd be nice to get some CPU temperature, frequency and throttling benchmarks to see how it compares to: 1. Not using the cooling pad, just laying the laptop on a flat surface. 2. Just using a cheap stand that increases airflow.

@RISINTECH Год назад
Thanks for the feedback, I did use the laptop without the cooling pad to see the temp, and 1 with the cooling pad after using it. U can see the temp drop dramatically in my video. For the cheap stand we all already know it barely reduce because all it does it lifting the laptop to get the cool air in. Which at most will reduce 3 to 5c

@@RISINTECHMy bad. My concern is that if the laptop is sitting on the foam frame of the cooling pad, then all air going into the bottom of the laptop must be supplied from through the cooling pad fan blades. This is obviously great when the cooling pad fan is on and pressurizing the intake, but can the laptop fans effectively pull air up through the cooling pad on their own when I turn off the cooling pad to take a phone call?
@rh1n0man920
@rh1n0man920 Год назад
Or to restate my concern in another way: If the cooling pad never received power and it’s fan was off, would it be worse than useless as a laptop stand and more like putting your laptop on a mattress.
@RISINTECH
@RISINTECH Год назад
@@rh1n0man920 ok i understand now, since the cooling pad has a seal meaning no in or out other then the motor producing the air, let’s just take a concept of a room like I mention in the video, if your room has AC and was on for 30min and doors are all seal/close will the room be hot immediately, the answer is no, but if u leave it for very long time then yes it will. But then again why wouldn’t u turn on ? I mean u can use 1000rpm or below which barely produces any sound. As long there is intake of cool air if u aren’t playing any hardcore gaming it will cool down better then no having a cooling pad. Just think of a AC cooling concept and u will understand. U can turn the ac low but will still cool your room.
@RISINTECH
@RISINTECH Год назад
And beside the foam seal design can be remove easily, which mean u can use it has a stand if u don’t want to turn it on. I hope this help your answer, if it does smash that like button and sub :) it will help me grow my channel thank you 🙏

Thanks dude. Your exclusion are great regarding how it works. So let's talk about my need here. I am using GT500 V2 but the best way for me to use it is by maxing out the fan speed up to 5000 RPM for it to actually make the difference. Even so at max, my temp still hammering at 78°C GPU and 88°C CPU at worst during afternoon (some people call it summer). Based from your claim here; "Follwing are my personal experience and opinion after using both cooling pad: 1. GT600 can easily reach GT500's max cooling performance (75-80db (A)) with only 1200-1500 rpm (50db (A)). The noise level under 1700 (around 51 db (A)) is very good. (I tested with GE78HX-13VI, 13980HX+4090). 2. GT600's filter uses materials like the mask, it can filter out all particles unlike GT500, saves you time to clean up your laptop. 3. GT600's control pannel now shows number unlike GT500, you can slide through to turn up/down fan RPM (+ or - 100). Both" Should I get the GT626? I personally don't care about the rainbow lights or the USB ports on this (never used but it's good to have; Justin Case). Does it actually get the same result with GT626 at 1600 RPM compared to GT500 at 5000 RPM? My priority is the noise level per effectiveness. If it can keep it at least the same results as GT500 at max that would be cool with lesser noise. I am asking this because I'm gonna spend a lot of money on this device once again so I am hoping I would make a good buy, and also I am moving soon. I think if you still have both of these coolers you shall make the comparison though. What do? Thanks in advance.

U can get gt610 I think is the mid spec that come with rbg and 2800RPM fan speed, but u don’t get the usb hub which I think many doesn’t need it, of course unless u do. Plz do realise that this cooling pad will produce noise regardless but of course if u compare to gt500 is actually much less but u still hear it. I would trade abit of noise with headphone so that my laptop is in the cooling side.
