Laura, I'm on week 5 but I'm not experiencing the miraculous results I have heard of. I'm only on meat, eggs, and cheese, pork rinds and diet caffeine free coke. There have been potty issues. I will be working on being active soon as well. What do you think? Am I expecting too much? I want some of those results I have heard. I am currently t2 and in need of losing 127 - 130 lbs.

@@lisalyons5381 I think your right. I'm thinking of something to drink that isn't water all the time. I have to cut out the cheese because I think there is too much fat at the moment. The rinds are really good, but I'm in week 5 now and haven't really wanted them for about a week.

July is birthday month also. 2 years ago my birthday was not an event I was looking forward to. BUT last year was a terrific B'DAY AND this year is even more exciting. Down OVER the 100 pounds I had to shed, NO bad health issues and this 73rd birthday celebration is JOYOUS, Exciting and I do not feel the least deprived. I can have carnivore cake and carnivore ice cream if I choose but I do not need that to celebrate my life. I plan on living to 120 plus so many opportunities to celebrate my long healthy life. 🎉🎉🎉
I really like what Dr. Berry says about snacking...you are an adult, not a little kid, so you do not NEED a snack. Grow up, be an adult and don't snack. If I were in SPAIN, I woukd avail myself to the different foods. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. They are pretty meat-centric anyway. So how bad was it REALLY? Welcome back to Chandler. I feel like I feel so good that I think I can have sweets all to realize the reason I was feeling so good was that I was OFF sugar . I re started on 6/28 to get a head start for 7/1 . Need to detox off sugar so I left cheese , cucumber & avocado & fresh herbs , salad greens & all fresh meat . I’m feeling good on this
I fell off the wagon, and seeing the community harassing my youtube newsfeed is bringing me back. I feel like crap, body cramps, IBS, and all is consuming me 😢. I'm working out my schedule for my body, mind, and soul ❤ committed to treating me to feeling positive again and healthy healing
Thank you to both of you! I know for sure I won't be risking myself with those returning cramps again, lol. I feel more natural when I'm eating the right foods, and having lemon with salt to drink all day helps, too. I appreciate carnivore it really does help me and my journey
Laura thank you for sharing this. I had plan to start today, (7/1) yet had a family emergency involving a visit tot the emergency room. I drank my LMNT until 5:00 pm and then broke down and ate horrible hospital food. Tomorrow is another day. Starting with 48 hour fast as well starting 8pm tonight. Go BEAST MODE!
Just started following you. We are in September 2024 and I am going beast mode. My non-negotiable is stay carnivore. I will take it one meal at a time. I can't wait to feel better.
I really appreciate your channel. I have something called CSID, and I get sick when I eat sugars and starches because my body doesn’t break them down correctly. I wonder how many people in the carnivore community have something similar? It’s not commonly tested for and can be misdiagnosed as other gut issues. Seeing other people eat very low carb and be healthy has been so helpful and encouraging for me. I don’t eat carnivore, but seeing that people do helped me eat in a way that works for me.

Laura I’ve been watching your vids for over 6 months now, I can not get over how you and Chris turned yourselves around! I started in Jan this year, I’ve gone from over 15 stones to 11 stones 10 in that short space of time, I’m as aerobically fit as I was in my late 20s (61 now) my bp has gone from 160/90 to 120/70. I feel amazing. Give it a go folks, it’s fantastic to feel fit again.🥩🥓🍳. Thank you for sharing Laura.
I started carnivore/ketovore in April of 2023. I lost probably about 30 pounds (i dont chase numbers on a scale, clothes sizes, or calories, but I could tell by the way my clothes fit and being able to fit into smallwr sizes that had been hanging in the back of the closet). I felt better than I have in many years. Slowly around the holidays, I lost focus and very rapidly gained back all of that weight and then some. Now im back to feeling like garbage and fighting inflammation and pain every day. I am going to go back to my personal "beast mode" which is strict carnivore during the week with keto-compliant sides on the weekends and exercising every day. The challenge is exactly what I need! Thanks for all of your encouragement and tips for leading this lifestyle.
Laura, I started watching your channel about 3 weeks ago and your videos motivated me to begin my own journey. After just over two weeks I have gotten amazing results which were confirmed during a visit to my doctor today. I'm honestly not yet ready to join your locals community at this time. But I also live in AZ and maybe someday I'll be able to meet you and Chris in person, and share my results at that time. Thank you for keeping me inspired and focused, much appreciated.
Ill be joining in the strict carnivore for July as well. Also hoping to keep going after that but it helps to know a bunch of people are also going beast mode for july! My family is not carnivore so i still have to cook 3 meals a day that arent carnivore. If im not prepped for what im going to eat, when i cook for others is i tend to cheat. Not this month! Here’s the downside - when I fall off the diet, as I do EVERY TIME I start carnivore over the past 2 years (my longest stint was 8 months, and shortest a couple of days), I gain all the weight back and MORE. Carnivore diet has been my first intro into yo-yo dieting. Yes, you feel like a superhero while you’re on it, but whatever secret you lifers have to stay on it, I haven’t figured it out.
So what pre-empted the falling off the wagon? What was the decision you made? Or the emotional event that shook you into abandoning the carnivore route? It's there, dig for the answer.
Keep on getting back on the wagon. I'm at this for 5 years. But still struggle. It's real. Some people just lose weight, move on into maintenance. I need to lose, maintain that, then lose,maintain that. I accepted it's a marathon , not a sprint
@@ingridferg9779Great advice! Same for me. My worst off the wagon was grief. And eating carbs I knew would up my dopamine hit! It took me a long time, with grief, to come back to it…& I’m still struggling to be perfect with it…but I’m not giving up b/c I have 3 autoimmune illnesses with one being an arthritis and if I DON’T go back to it…I wouldn’t be able to keep doing my job as a massage therapist. Hi all. Im super new to carnivore (only entering my 3rd month). Im 4'11 ish and starting weight is 172 lbs and am at 161 lbs now. My weight has stayed at 161 lbs for the last month. I have increased my walking and have alot of healing to do. I am going to try to add a 24 hour fast weekly and see how that works. I am already a strick carnivore since im just starting out. Im also going to include weight traing 2 days a week and see how it goes. Good luck all
Welcome and great job! One note to help you along the way, don't focus too much on the weight number. Weight fluctuates for so many reasons (water, salt, hormones, muscle mass vs fat mass) Focusing on the other numbers from the start definitely helps keep a positive mindset. For example, I lost 10 lbs one week and gained 3 pounds the next, and dropped 1 the next... but dropped a jean size and my migraines had stopped. If I just focused on the weight I would be kicking myself over those 3 pounds.
Starting this really late. Postponed for vacation and then came home with Covid. Negative after two weeks so totally needing to be serious. I just got home from Costco so I’m stocked up. 74 years old
Hey Laura, I’m in! Today is date 120 for me being Carnivore after falling off the wagon for six months and getting so sick that I wound up in the hospital for eight days. I’m back on track but I’ve been fooling around a little bit with too much cheese, over eating etc I’m definitely starting beast mode today, July 4, 2024, my goal is to incorporate. Intermittent fasting, give up my coffee and tea. Habit, alternative sweeteners and dairy. I’d like to stay as close to lion diet as possible for my autoimmune issues every time I go outside of that , I realize how badly it affects me. Thank you so much. I appreciate the support.
Great video I have one year 3 months now but had ice cream chocolate muffins went up 6 pounds in 3 days. I have lost 53 lbs all together your a real help
Thank you so much for this challenge. I need it and I have been struggling to get back to eating carnivore. I found you a couple years ago went carnivore and lost 50 pounds and felt better than I have in a really long time. I was a part of your Locals community And had great momentum. Two weeks ago,I spent a week celebrating graduation parties, moving graduate to college and pretty much eating whatever was in front of me. Woke up last Tuesday with tons of knee and ankle pain as well as swollen legs. I was amazed that my previous SAD diet could do that to me so drastically so fast. Not even a week later, swelling is gone, pain is so much less. It really is amazing how instantaneous your diet can affect you. This morning I woke up with the realization that I can do this and wouldn’t it be awesome if when I go home at the end of August that there is a huge difference in the way I feel and look. So I am all in for the next two months. Going to see a movie that I want to see this evening, no $20 popcorn and soda for me. I do like my diet sodas, but I have started to drink cold brew coffee instead. I’ve always been a “Beast Mode” fan , Go Hawks, but this is taking it to the next level.
I'm in! I was so excited to see that you were going beast mode this month as I've needed the extra accountability. I've been doing carnivore since February, and have been feeling really great, but I've been struggling for the last month since drinking at my sister's wedding. I've also been a little too addicted to bread cheese. 😅 I started beast mode today, and I'm feeling good about it. I exercised for the first time in forever, had a huge steak and some wings for lunch, and I'm stocked up on LMNT. I didn't even want all of my coffee today. The first 48 hour fast is going to be tough, but I'm ready for it!

Great plan!!! I too am doing July challenge. For me it's figuring out how to get 100 grams of protein in a day (I am short), no carbs except for some berries and a bit of fruit in the evening meal and no alcohol. I hope to be able to do some true fasting, but need to load up on protein first. Tried IF but gotten ravenous and so having to now step back and make sure I get enough protein. Hopefully, within July I'll be able to go back to IF and maybe even do 24 or 36 hour fast. Laura, thank you so much for inspiration!
I'm traveling and I think I'll use this opportunity to stay the course when outside of my routine. Great idea to check the calendar ahead of time to address potential obstacles and come up with a game plan ahead of time
Ok im going to be a Beast !! 24 hour fast once a week. Long intermittent 16-20hrs fast rest of the week. One meal a day most of the week. Been in a stall for months.
Beast Mode will probably help get you out of that stall. Another channel I follow did a weight loss challenge last month, and part of it was to fast at least one day each week. I decided to play along since I was also in a stall for months. I fasted for 40+ hours in each of the first 2 weeks, then I ate mostly OMAD the rest of the month. There was one restaurant "cheat meal" thrown in while out with relatives (restaurant food is gross). Anyway, going Beast Mode knocked me out of my stall and I lost 9.2 pounds. 316 pounds 30 years old 5’9 type 2 diabetes. My desire is CHANGE. I’m so tired. I’m ready to go beast mode but man am I afraid of another failed attempt.
I had that same outlook after gastric sleeve 11 years ago, I was so sure I’d fail, guess what? I did. It is called self fulfilling prophecy. Every time you have a negative thought, change it to a positive. Tell yourself you can! Visualize you already at the end of the 30 days and you doing beast mode. Visualize you losing 100 pounds. Think as if you have already achieved it. You can do this. ❤
Also, try to give yourself a little grace. If you eat one crappy meal, kick yourself THEN get back on it for the next meal! …and don’t keep garbage food in the house. 😀😀😀
@@jerricaseward3614 I LOVE sweets and carbs. Guess what I do? I DONT BUY THEM. I use Instacart for my groceries, this stops me from “accidentally” walking past those foods or down those aisles. If you really want to do it, you can. I’m willing to help virtually if you want to be held accountable.
I'm starting July 5 officially, but will be mindful of what I eat the next 4 days! Starting off with an egg fast to reset my system and then all the delicious meats. Taking measurements & photos to see physical results, and writing down my experiences/improvements of inflammation/pain. I'm so ready to get back to it.
Love this idea, I’m in! I’m going to a wedding, but I’ll eat before. I quit drinking two years ago and don’t miss it at all. No cheese, it doesn’t bother me, but it’s too easy to eat way too much.
Went in vaca for a week, picked up 5 of my grandkids on the way home. We had them for 2 weeks. Best time of my life, but, I fell off the wagon big time. Currently 80% back on but need the beast challenge to reset and regroup. I love how I feel when I eat right and am not feeling that way now. The weight loss is a plus❤. Thanks for all you do Laura🎉.
Great plan!Have you tried Pilates for your exercise yet? I've had great luck building muscle, balance, flexibility with it. Lottie Murphy is good and so is Robin Long....both on YT. Let's go BEAST!!!
Great video! I have been all in for over 9 weeks now! Down 28.5lbs and feel so much better! But, can't do without the cheese. But, I did cut back on it!
Hi Laura, I have been watching you for awhile now and went pretty much full carnivore (various meats, eggs, and cheese) back in 2022 and lost 20 lbs…I did not really need to lose more than that so I started thinking I could kind of go Ketovore and started adding in avocado and some berries etc…then…I decided (because I had issues with constipation and plaque build up inside my lower front teeth up til then that I would try doing a Mediterranean Diet…well, I gained almost all of the weight back, started feeling bloated and having digestion problems so I am now back to Carnivore and joined your group (just the free part) and am thinking about joining the paid part for more advice…we live in Arizona too (Bullhead City)…my first question is What is your other job/work? Just curious, lol 😂 I am so impressed with you and Chris’ transformation and have watched many others that have transformed their bodies via Carnivore…just amazing…! I did order the LMNT and love it…I am hoping that drinking that combined with eating more fatty meat and adding butter and incorporating some workouts and lots of walking into my week will cure that issue! I’m in! I was going to go this anyway! I have some health issues and only need to lose about 15-20 pounds. I’m soon to be 76, 5’2”, I’m at 141, which for my frame is too much. My main reason is health issues. Looking forward to 1 August to see how much difference is in my body.

You must have read my mind. Cause I went "Beast Mode" for a month and only lost 1 lb. Zero carbs... no sugar, starches or flour. Now I am on a 3 day fast and only lost 2 lbs. Will go one more day. Never had a stall like this before.
