Frank Welker is the best voice actor as Megatron. Daniel Riordan is also great voice actor as Megatron in RID. David Kaye is a great voice actor as Megatron in Armada,Energon,Cybertron, Beast wars and Beast machines. So David Kaye is a Fantastic voice actor one off the greatest❤👏👍😊.
Hard to say since Frank is a S-Rank voice actor who has been Aboo, Scooby, Fred, every hissing monster from Anaconda to Species, and SO much more, but David is damn good.
Would love for as much as the original cast to reprise their roles in a Beast Wars cartoon. The Netflix show brought back the characters but it sounded just off without the original cast Been re-watching the original Beast Wars recently. It just reminded me why its my all time favorite Tv show.
Ok, I grew up with all Transformers G1- all the way to today. The original Megatron, was intelligent and vindictive but more open to work with Optimus if needed if they were in a bad sitch, aside of Galvatron that just hated everyone. Now when it comes to Beast wars and Armada Megatrons. I'd have to say the biggest difference "In my opinion" Beast Wars Megatron was without a doubt, the most intelligent, well crafted, most patient, and strategic planer of any EVIL LEADERS that ever was. Armada's Megatron is a lot like every other evil team leader. Jumps into a situation just relying on his strength and his invincibility beliefs. Not as intelligent and strategic, just jumps and fights. That's why he loses most of the time. But Beast Wars Megatron really kept the Maximals on their toes. Cause they knew he was calm, smart, vindictive, and never in any way obvious. So I still believe today that BW Megatron was one of the very best evil Leaders that ever was in any transformers and even lots of other cartoons ever created. That's what I think. So that is my opinion.
Gary is such an actor and I love that. He a real actor and knows his shit which is so rare and amazing. And David just has that voice to him he can seamlessly turn on and off. And 100% I watch subs to get the truest understanding of what happening as I can. But if I’m doing laundry or cleaning or dishes I do listen to dubs, it’s just not my first pick.
As someone who watched beast wars and armada, I think the main difference between David Kaye's BW Megatron voice and his Armada voice is that BW Meg puts a lot more emphasis on his S's, such as when he says his iconic "Yesssssss". His Armada voice doesn't put as much emphasis on the S's. Either way, he's probably one of the best Megatron voice actors in the history of the franchise, along with the OG Meg VA Frank Welker, Fred Tatasciore (The voice of Megatron from the War/Fall of Cybertron games), and the guy who voiced Megatron in Transformers Animated (I forgot his name).
Love the candor from Ian here. And I totally agree. Watching video works in their original language is almost always a far superior experience, especially in these times where dub companies take it upon themselves to "fix" the work to fit their own sensibilities instead of giving us the story we're seeking from the original creators and letting us judge it for ourselves.
"Why does it suck?" Because in one, it's people talking. In the other, it sounds like something you're trying to rush through, listening to it at 150% playback speed.
The dubbing does not suck, I think it was really well done with what they were given to work with, yes there are going to be noticeable differences in delivery from beast wars to the unicron trilogy but to say they weren’t good performances by David Kay and alike is just wrong. I found much enjoyment of David Kay’s megatron and so did many others he gave a more Intelligent type of villainous voice towards Megatron in the trilogy, and I think it works very well with the performance
@@TrapToise The problem I think is the script writing. TOO much trying to be said in too short a time frame. You'd see that in anime adaptations, where in Japan, they'd let out a yell as they attack. In the US version, there'd be a long, retarded sentence about how violence is bad but necessary.
no disrespect to frank welker, david kaye and corey burton are the two best megatron voices, one was my childhood and one is just such a fun voice, yesss. again, of course, welker was the ogand made the basis of all megatron voices, but davids dynamic beast wars voice and coreys soulless mythical tyrant voice are the absolute epitome of a megatron in my opinion

@@alastor-yw7og Yes I don't know Nihongo but shows with Nihongo voice acting for the characters originally in my experience express alot more emotion with their voice than the english dubs of them. I'm sure there are bad Nihongo voiceing in shows but as I don't know the language I don't know if I could tell the difference.
@@nightlight-nuisance2971 do you have any idea how half-assed what you said was that's like saying seals and manatees and dugongs are seperate species but since they look alike it's hard to tell and notice if they really are separate species even though there's clear evidence of them being seperate if you dig deep enough like seals have blubber and manatees and dugongs have rough grey skin and manatees and dugongs are genetically related to elephants while seals are genetically related to bears and seals are canine shaped to and manatees have nails at the end of there flippers while seals don't and there bones are different shaped,and sized to, and that's like saying sharks, dolphins, are seperate species in different species families but considering they look alike because of the fins and the shape and role as oceanic predators it's hard to tell if there really seperate species or not despite the fact that there's is also evidence of them being seperate if you dig deep enough to and and it's the same thing as how pinnipeds and sirenia's are separate species families, heck that's also like saying every prehistoric reptile species are all dinosaurs even though pterasaurs and marine reptiles like mosasaur's and plesiosaur's are there own family lineages heck even some pre-dinosaur animals like dimetrodon's and gorgonopsids are not only there own family lineages but also more physically and genetically mammalian then reptilan and are the ancestors of mammals including us and once again i qoute if you actually dig deep enough and same reasons i listed with the other 2 examples, just because languages are completely different from one another dosent mean there not the same and they don't suffer the same reasons bad English Voice acting happens or bad inperson acting happens now look I'm not trying to get on you for your preferences if you prefer subs over dubs that's fine but atleast have some basic knowledge on languages and have basic knowledge on bad acting, dialogue, and scripting in then and don't let the language barrier get in the way and atleast be aware that there are very good English dubs out there and know that just like everything else in the world dubs are not always perfect but atleast try to give the people making them some respect for trying there best efforts in making them good in the best at they can especially for the audience there being made for
Armada Megatron was a total general. He stands out from all other megatron incarnations. He plays the role very beautifully. Id love him to voice my New armada megatron figure from fanshobby.
