The Sexy, Sexy Voice of David Kaye: Transformers Armada's Megatron 

I told David Kaye to his face that his Megatron voice is sexy and he talked to me in it and said “Yesss, please don’t stop.” And I almost died. It was great. Botcon 2009 was epic.

Look, I know Frank Welker and Peter Cullen are legends, but for me, David Kaye and Gary Chalk just ARE Megatron and Optimus Prime.

I forgot how much he used to laugh at seemingly random moments.

I want to hear him say "I want that twink OBLITERATED" because his voice just... fits the line.

He is worthy of reprising his role as much as the likes of Cullen and Welker.

Now, there is no joke that this Megatron has a sexy voice, it is amazing.

David Kaye used a similar voice but a different tone that made him sound very different from his performance in Beast Wars. Also this version nicely displays some depth rather than just being a one note villain. I wish we could see more depictions do that.

As a 90s kid, David Kaye was for all intents and purposes my Megatron and I’m glad that his portrayal of the character in both Beast Wars and the Unicron Trilogy holds up so well. I know he also took a shot at Optimus in TFA which was okay but I’d still love to see him return to play Megatron someday since he fits the character so much, yeessss (sorry I couldn’t resist)

No matter what, his 'YEEES' is legendary.

Hard not to be biased towards Frank Welker's Megatron voice, but goddamn I really like the sultry voice David Kaye gave him.

Honestly, this is my favourite Megatron. In both his voice and design. I wish we got a proper update of this design, instead of the Combiner Wars thing.

I grew up with Gary Chalk's Optimus Prime and David Kaye's Megatron/Galvatron, it's one of those anime dubs where I actually prefer the English dub over the Japanese ones. Then re-watched Beast Wars/Machines (originally watched them in my native country's dub) with these guys voicing them originally, which really made me wish they are casted for the live action movies. If they do some sort of multiverse thing like in MCU right now, then it would be the perfect time to bring these guys into voicing Optimus and Megatron/Galvatron.

This. This was my first impression of the transformers franchise as a whole. When I was small we didn't have cable but I'd go to school and all the kids would have the McDonald's toys with them. They looked so cool to me and I especially like Megatron (I didn't even know he was a bad guy at the time. I just thought his metal bunny ears were funny) but my parents go out and buy me a vhs of the transformers...however it was for the original animated movie. Although there were no metal bunny ears I still watched it repeatedly. I wish I was familiar with the characters then because Optimus death would have affected me more. So years latter parents buy some lunch ables for me and my brother and we see characters for the 2007 movie. I immediately thought it would be based on armada but I buy a Scrapbook at a book fair that had pics of all the characters from the movie next to their g1 version. I got into the lore from there. On my birthday that year I saw it in theatres with my little brother and we were on the edge of our seats. It is still my favorite movie of all time (even after seeing endgame and infinity war) because of the memories it holds for me. And it all started with metal bunny ears.

This was the first Megatron I was ever properly introduced to. Looking back, I was introduced to a high bar.

David Kaye was my very first Introduction to the Whole concept of Megatron thank to this one series.

Frank Welker is obviously the GOAT Megatron. But David Kaye is so good in the role too. He definitely embodies the pride and arrogance of Megatron

What pisses me off the most is that I'm the only one that supports Garry Chalk and David Kaye unlike the G1 elitists of Peter Cullen and Frank Welker who attend to hate them for no reason. Once again, I'm glad Beast Wars and Armada/Cybertron are my first introduction to Transformers and not that annoying G1 series since I learn how to be aware of the flaws without complaining about them cause' I learn how to be a Transformers fan by my own way infinitely more than every Geewunner on earth.
