We were way up front just outside of the mosh area. Bodies would be passing by up in the air - had to watch out for a foot to your head. Three of us guys linked ourselves around my brother's small girlfriend to protect her from bodies flying by.
MCA would want us to remember the many years of good times we had with them. RIP MCA and love to the beasties, Adam´s family, and all the staff involved. we love all of you for being a part of him.
I'm so upset I never got the opportunity to see them in concert, I can see these guys know how to put on a show. The Beastie Boys were so much a part of my youth and their artistic evolution beyond the 80's was something to behold. Adam Yauch's passing is such a loss to the world of great art, it makes me so sad! God rest his soul and I pray for the his family.
i love when biz is there and sings that part at the beginning of time for living ..ive seen them at msg, nasau colliseum and the meadowlands ..twice at msg .. he been there most times also the other songs he is on he takes part in ..he is obviously a great friend of theirs ..which bboy fans know..rip my man mca
Man … I saw nearly every great band of the ‘80s and ‘90s (and quite a few of the terrific obscure ones) performing in tiny, close-up venues, sometimes even before those bands had broken big - but my three great musical regrets are never seeing Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, or the Beastie Boys perform live. this is a beautiful show!!! i personally stopped goin to beastie boys shows in the states after hello nasty, the crowds changed. it was something goin on with the audiences' and i still dont know but it wasnt as fun; from 87 to that last show i went to, the beasties were always perfect. esp at the 1st tibetan freedom concert. rip mca. what the beastie boys meant cannot be be understated, to those of us who grew up on em and to the new fans they make every day. the spirit lives on!
I was lucky enough to see the B boys at Rams Head Live in Baltimore. Md. The place holds 2000 people. I heard they wanted less then that so only a hand full of tix where available. I happen to get two. I will never forget that show!!! Thanx Fc for the ticket hookup of a lifetime!!

I remember some of it. DJ HURRICANE was on the 1's & 2's on top of a GIANT 6PK OF BUDWEISER BEER. There was a HOT STRIPPER CHICK in a BLACK THONG BIKINI dancing on a pole inside a GIANT bird cage, and the BEASTIE BOYS were pouring BUDWEISER BEER on the crowd. GREAT SHOW!!!
Ha, yea you were! I've been listening to the beastie boys since I was born, literally. When I was still in a car seat my dad would play some Paul's boutique or licensed to ill. Man, those were the days. Sorry you missed out.
So jealous. A few years ago they did a pop up show in Asheville, NC. Of course I found out the next day but they played a venue that held a few hundred people. That would have been so sick to see them in such a small venue.
