Good tip: if it's your first offense and they got you dead to rights you could ask the prosecutor to plead down to a driving without a license in possession. $50 to $100 fee average plus court fees. doesn't hit your driving record as hard. Varies state to state but worth asking the question.
I got court next week I was pulled over at 1a.m for doing 30 in a 35 in the fog then the officer tells me and I ran your tags and the driver of this car is suspended

Well, on one hand, I tend to agree that driving is in fact a right and not a privilege to be licensed by the government. But until enough people agree to actually change the law, you need a license to drive.
does this apply in west Virginia ???? a state trooper pulled me over because he thought my sticker was not for my truck...he said the reason was tags were getting stolen around town...my license is expired in Michigan or suspend...i live in WV now

About 2 months ago got pulled over for having 2019 tags because I just had purchased the car and just got registration on it but AAA couldn’t give me the actual sticker at the time I paid for it because of some situation with the previous owner trying to sell the car to someone else but I did technically pay the registration prior to the offense. I have the stickers now but i got issued a ticket for driving on a suspended license and not having registration. All of this over a DUI that occurred 2 years ago. Registration offense is correctable but I’m worried about the driving while suspended license charge. Do I have any chance on winning if I fight this case?

@@Andrewflusche Hey Andrew if a cop is behind me no lights or sirens and have done nothing wrong and i pull over to let a cop pass me( would they be able to say this is reasonable sus. Etc) would it be legal for them to pull me over
I was pulled over in Corning Ca and was given a ticket for driving on expired tags. But the officers reason for pulling me over was because he seen my passenger and he had a traffic warrant. It wasnt because of anything I did wrong at all and the officer that pulled me over didnt even notice my tags until he started wrighting a ticket for my passenger. I was very upset about this ticket. Because I just got my license back after not having one or over 26 years.
@@Andrewflusche so your saying that I can fight this ticket and have a chance of winning it. That's what I really need to go before I put money out on a lawyer that I really dont have in the first place.

You should have known that our tags had expired. The officer reconginsed the passenger and knew they had a warrant. I am not sure why he would write you passenger a ticket when they had a warrant for there arrest. Get your tags taken care of and then go and talk to the judge. He might give you a break
