How to install mods into beat saber 2020? In this video, I show you how you can achieve in getting beat saber mods through Mod Assistant, which is a mod manager that you would need to have for the most fun customizable experience within Beat Saber. It is very easy and if you follow along with this step-by-step tutorial, you too will be having more fun than you did before.

Beat Saber Modding Discord:

File Location for Beat Saber:
For OCULUS go to library, click the 3 dots next to the game, select details, copy location and paste it.
►Ex: (Your Drive):\Oculus\Software\Software\hyperbolic-magnetism-beat-saber
For STEAM go to library, right click on the game and select properties. Under local file, hit browse local files, copy the file path and paste it.
►Ex: (Your Drive):\Steam\Steam files\steamapps\common\Beat Saber
For OCULUS QUEST users you have limited customized options, but here's what to expect & setup for SideQuest & BMBF:

►UNLESS you have Oculus Link connecting the Quest to the PC than Mod Assistant works
For PSVR users, unfortunately, there is NO method for adding mods onto the console system.

ll mods right now aren't working because of Oct 13,2020 official beatsaber multiplayer release. If you don't know every beatsaber update will break the mods and mod assistant so you will need to wait until they release a new version which will automatically update when you install mod assistant. as for mods they are done by individual modders so you will have to wait until they are up depending on their time schedule. usually within 1 or 2 weeks but this time it is taking longer. I will be posting updates here: Update 10/19/20 from BSMG discord: Beat Saber 1.12.2 Has Released This update fixes some gameplay issues such as room offset and saber rotation settings. PC Modding Mods are still not out yet, but will be available soon™️! Quest Modding The BMBF release for 1.12.1 works with this update. If you have a previous version of Beat Saber installed, reinstall Beat Saber and follow the quest modding guide linked below. If you have a Quest 2, follow the quest modding guide linked below. You do not need to do anything extra from the Quest 1 steps! NOTE: Modding your game with BMBF will not allow you to play Multiplayer. @@robclements4957 that is the game version 1.13.0. You need mod assistant v1.1.16 as that is the current version of mod assistant. They are 2 different things one is a version of the game and the other is the version of mod assistant. So get the mod assistant v1.1.16

For the love of god, OCULUS QUEST, since I bought it on my quest, mod assistant says I don't have a folder, well guess what I cant check where it is because it is not on my PC, so what the hell do I do now?

@@stratabegood I fixed this by manually going to the folder and directing it. Program Files\Oculus\Software\Software\hyperbolic-magnetism-beat-saber Make sure it's directing to that hyperbolic folder. It took a couple tries for it to make that connection but it worked out in the end to eliminate that dumb error message.

Dude I can't download it, I am stuck, when it says it can't find the beat saber folder, I navigate to that folder but it doesn't work it just is select.this.directory I am confused

My question... is there a way for quest 2 to mod and how do I do that because I tried downloading Mod Assistant but it says I need a beat saber folder... is this possible without beat saber on steam. I'm trying to start a Beat Saber channel on twitch but I want a third person camera angle is it possible on quest 2?

I can't install mod assistant.. I don't have beat saber on my computer! Should I? For what? :/ And from where install it if I really need BS on PC to habe mod assistant?

Yes this is specifically for beat saber so you need the game. which you can buy it on the oculus or steam store and a vr headset

I have the link in the description for oculus quest users as that is a different setup. I don’t have oculus quest so can’t make a tutorial, but I can show you where you can follow and install. You will be using sidequest and BMBF!

Unless you have Oculus Link to connect the Quest to the computer than that works with Mod Assistant

Ok so can I get mod assistant if I bought beat saber on oculus store? It can never find the file so I am guessing I have to get it on steam.

no it works for both steam and oculus store (not oculus quest app) versions.

Unfortunately cannot as i only have an oculus rift (wired vr headset). But there are other videos that show how to do it for quest 1-2. So Quest1-2 has its own mod manager sidequest/bmbf but limited in mods. Mainly if you are going to getting custom songs then yes use that. For full mod access getting an oculus link cable connecting it to the quest 1 or 2 to your pc/laptop, buying beat saber through oculus or steam store instead of the quest app then you can follow this tutorial and download mod assistant. Obviously your paying more for now the full mod access but for custom songs mod just use the sidequest/bmbf mod manager. Link in the description

@@DLegionHeir im pretty sure you can get mod assistant if you have a oculus link or any other kind of cord that you can put into your pc and your quest, my friend did it so he is helping me

I don't have the ipa option in my folders and my plugin folder is in the Beat Saber_Data folder with nothing inside it. Any fix for this?

There is a folder named x86_64 in the plugin folder

@@novaraven183 try playing beatsaber and that will read in the plugins. but it actually is the resuly of the Oct 13 beatsaber official multiplayer update. All mods including mod assistant arent working like with every single beatsaber update and you need to wait typically for 1-2weeks for it to be working again.
