wow its been a while since a challenge video like this. (actually its been a while since any video) but I hope you all enjoy and (hopefully) part 2 will come out fast
You can do something similar with a superflat world. Just replace the dirt layers with lava and the grass with something flammable. As the random ticks cause fire to spread the world will slowly burn around you
27:28 I believe the reason you couldn't place the planks down is because you were standing on a path block, which is 15/16ths of a full block. Which feels kinda weird that the game doesn't just let you place it down and shift you up one pixel, but that's the game.
I think that playing with low render distance would make the ice melt slower, but you would miss villages. Maybe changing it could be good. I will probably try this challenge and test it ^^. Great video
That’s true. It’s a double edged sword in that way. But what if you turned up render distance but lowered simulation distance? Because I’m pretty sure it’s the simulation distance that updates the ice. Also if you wanna try it I’ve linked the datapack in the description. And I’m glad you liked the vid!
That would be really cool! Honestly I'm thinking of learning how to make datapacks so I can do these types of challenges. Because rn I'm just relying on things people have already made 😅
I mean this in a constructive way, but i'm 20 mins in and it only now feels like any progress has been made. I think a TON of the villages you went to, and deaths could've been left out without taking away anything from the video as a whole
Yes I completely agree! This video had a high click rate which means people wanted to watch it but they left it pretty quickly because it was too slow. Pacing is something I definitely need to work on and I’m not gonna be making such long videos like this anymore because they end up dragging at some points.
I could but that would take forever to get to each village. Because I'd need to travel to dozens of villages to find the materials needed for the nether. Also I'm glad you liked it!
i wonder if you could consider this a type of skyblock.. waterblock? anyway i say this is the chaotic neutral of sky/waterblock since chaotic evil is occupied
