A big thanks to Newair for sending the fan out for testing. It's been extremely hot here lately in Florida and this was just what I needed to cool down while working on our pole barn house.

*Wow, for how small it is, it is powerful! And so quiet and **Fastly.Cool** !! Super happy with my purchase. I use this in combo with my AC to help circulate the cool air.*

When I lived in California we used to use these, we had no humidity out there and they were pretty much like an air conditioner to a big warehouse or shop. It’ll make such a difference, even just moving good air through there when there’s no breeze but with the evaporative cooling it can really take that edge off and make it bearable
@TKCL

Yes even in high humidity Florida I can still tell a huge difference when the mist is on, I can only imagine in states like California or Arizona how it must feel.

This is her husband speaking. Just set this fan up today and I will tell you, you have to sit 1 foot from the fan to feel any sort of coolness at 105 degrees. The water literally evaporates past 18inches, so don't expect the whole party at the table or in chairs to be cooled down. You will have to play musical chairs every 5 mins. Now, the fan its self is great. So, if its 85-90 and no need for the mist feature that day, then you are good to go for sure. If it's just you, you are good to go. If you can't sleep in the heat and need a nap for four hours and love fan noise with mist spray at 100 degrees, then you are good to go. The price is way too much! I would pay max 200 for this. It is built pretty solid and seems sturdy, but not accidental bump sturdy(you could sandbag it and that would fix everything.) Alternative route would be to get a fan like this and setup a mister that sprays a foot in front of your fan. Why not a mister only, because you end up staying wet. the fan actually wets you down and within seconds drys you off. If you are loaded and want a clean look, then get it. It works. If you are pinching then do what I said above.

Yeah it moves a ton of air and WATER.... You can't have a weak fan trying to move water droplets or they would just pile up in front of the fan. We've been using this for a couple of years now and love it. I'll buy another one if this one ever stops working.

Man that is an awesome fan. Man I can use that right now with all this 90° heat we've been having here lately & all of next week. That would be awesome if it was on wheels as heavy as it is. I'm glad to hear that is working well for you man especially while you working on the house and that heat. It also awesome that this company reached out to you. Man that fan would definitely work great for me why trying to keep my arms , legs , & feet moist. Take it easy man.

Jaybird Manufacturing makes a proprietary fogging fan that sends the water along the back side of the blades and "cuts" it down to 10-30 microns.

I have a fan exactly the same. Only difference is the name. Here in Utah summers are Hot and really Dry. The fan is a lifesaver. I have even hauled it to the job site on days I knew I was working in direct sun. I have owned it for 6 years now. The only issue I have had was caused by a massive gust of wind blew it over and it broke a few of the teeth off the plastic guard covering the spinning wheel in the center.

A misting fan that works well in humid climates is impressive. Would have been nice to see you take some temperature readings, area readings before and after, different distances in the stream and to the side of stream etc. Although you would have to find a time of day that the temperature did not move much.
@TKCL
@TKCL 3 года назад
No doubt it would work best in low humidity climates, but it really makes a difference in Florida too. Feels much cooler once that mist is turned on.

@TKCL
@TKCL 3 года назад
I definitely am, I do not get paid for reviews like a lot of other channels (just an affiliate link if someone buys, it isn't much trust me). I would never accept a product that asked for a positive review. I only review products that are house, tool, outdoor or homestead related and fit in the channel. This review day allows us to test products we otherwise had no clue about or couldn't afford right now. Plus I'm sure I'll be showing something at some point to everyone that they would have otherwise never seen.

Judging by the looks of those clouds, you're going to have an all-natural jumbo misting fan pretty soon:))) I hope that this product works for you, because you're going to have lots of hard work and sweating this summer! How about some source of cool water on the site, hydration is everything for our health during summer?
@TKCL
@TKCL 3 года назад
I am drinking a lot, but I'll actually have something coming soon to help me with that. As for the rain, we got a little that day, hardly enough to wet the dirt. It's been very dry and hot.
@xzibit8614
@xzibit8614 3 года назад
Issue is misting fans only work if humidity isn’t too high. They work by evaporating water to cool the air. If it’s 75%+ humidity it won’t do any cooling.
@TKCL
@TKCL 3 года назад
I've always heard that, but we took our fan to a cookout in Florida over the last two days with near 100 percent humidity. It was actually raining off an on. The fan still worked well, actually there was a line at times of people waiting to cool off in front of it. I can only imagine how well it works in low humidity states.

Evaporative cooling works great if you are in a dry climate (e.g. Arizona, Death Valley, etc), but not so great for those of us who live in the 90+% humidity areas of the Gulf Coast swamps... I have had situations where it so hot though that I would take my small (1700 psi) electric pressure washer and set it up so that it was spraying a high mist well above my work area when I was working outside... The water misting might be responsible for a few degrees of cooling, but mainly it is a case of the cloud of water blocking out a lot of the sun's heat... It's just a trade-off for not having to shovel snow like those Yankees have to do all winter... :)
@TKCL
@TKCL 3 года назад
Lol! I must say this really does give a cooling effect, even in humid Florida.

What's your thought on using for a backyard patio. How is the noise level? Would you turn on during a sit down dinner on a patio, will it hinder conversation?
@TKCL
@TKCL 3 года назад
It does have high pitched blades that NEED to move mist and air. On high its loud, but a conversation could be had if not right beside it. Mine has been at a friend's for a couple of weeks where we constantly have cookouts. On low several of us are often in front of it having normal conversations. So on low, no issues with conversation and it still moves decent air 10-15ft away. It's been a big hit at our cookouts, several people are looking to purchase. Even in Florida people can't believe how good the mist feels when you get in front of it. Now keep in mind, mist does not carry as far as the air does. Overall we plan to purchase a second one for our back porch once the house is complete. It's 800 Sq ft so we need two to cover that large of an area. Hope this helps, don't forget about the coupon codes in the description. FYI manufacturer is low on inventory due to the heat wave going on.

I never saw a misting device that uses a spinning contraption to atomize the water, that sounds interesting... But right now my cheap a$$ is about to po-folk-rig my squiggly, hard plastic, 5-dollar "misting" hose thingy around my plastic pedestal fan and see if it don't break the 110 degree heat! It's a dry heat, ya see.

long time ago I found a old industrial metal warehouse fan with a metal wrap around screen. the kind you bolt onto outside of a open window. with a blown motor. friend of my love playing around and added a washer machine motor set to high spin we called it "hurricane" it felt like it was blowing about 30 to 40 mph. had it for years, after I say around 7 or 9 years close to 24/7 of use, the bolt broke off that hold the metal blade on, blade spun off bounce around the metal screen, busted the window, came though the fan housing, stick into the wall knocking out 3 breakers. today, I miss that fan, but I don't miss calling electrician and $1.500 damages
