To everyone asking how to install the mod, here's a guide: 1. Go to the link in description or go to Nexus Mods and search “playable Ellie”. 2. Download the files on that page (Click the download button that says manual and slow download if you don't have Premium). You need the file pak68.txt and the bin folder. 3. Put both of these files in the main folder for The Last of Us Part I. If you’re playing on steam you can right click on the game title in your library->properties->installed files->browse and the folder you want is The Last of Us Part I/build/pc/main. Rename the pak68.txt and bin.psarc files that are already in this folder and replace them with the pak68.txt and bin folder that you downloaded. If you want to uninstall the mod just get rid of the new files you added and change the older file names back. 4. Just start up The Last of Us Part I and you will have to build shaders again, but otherwise that’s it. Once you start the game you will see Ellie replace Joel in the opening cutscene and you first control Ellie in the Quarantine Zone section (Note you still start the game as Sarah, but you should see Ellie instead of Joel in the prologue) Pretty easy setup honestly it’s just a matter of copying some files into the main folder and renaming a couple of files. Then when you start the game you should be playing as Ellie :)
Seeing Ellie, and Joel swapped for certain cutscenes is so funny. Like the one at Bill's. "I'm just fixing your stupid pile". I always love these challenges you do.
My god that T pose swimming got me lmfao fr Edit: watched a few of your challenge runs today and subbed up, would love to see a brick and knife run with Ellie
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, it was hilarious. I'm glad you enjoyed my mod, despite the bugs lol. There were just some things I couldn't fix no matter what I tried. 😅
Thank you so much. Your mod was super fun to play and you did a great job with it. I know very little about actually making mods but I imagine a lot of this was tricky to get working at all so I applaud you for doing this. Keep up the good work! :)
This is pretty interesting! I've always wanted a full on side game going over Ellie's story before meeting Joel (Kinda like Left Behind) Or a multiplayer mode where you can play as Ellie or other characters from the story, pretty much like Resident Evil's Mercenaries mode, honestly I just want another TLOU game, don't care what type of game it is, just as long as it's playable.
I'm watching your videos in the hospital right now and it's cheering me up a lot, so thank you. Ellie knife-only would be an awesome challenge to watch!
@@epiccakesgaming I can’t help but wonder at various possible challenges lol, like -Make all enemies human so it’s basically not a zombie apocalypse anymore? -All weapons are bricks and bottles -All enemies multiply by 4
Amazing video, thanks for sharing this! It's interesting to me that when you first play as Joel, the hospital rescue feels very much "get out of my way, I need to save her!" and you really feel invested in saving Ellie because you (and Joel) cares about her. Anyone in the way is just in the way. Watching this with ELLIE doing the slaughtering feels much more a case of catharsis, especially knowing how Part 2 took things. Ellie murdering the shit out of the Fireflies feels very earned in retrospect, especially killing the final surgeon given what he had planned for her,.
This is the funniest shit I've seen on tlou ever😂 great content man, keep it up👍 Best part - rag doll Joel on a horse, that swiftly turned into full height t-pose😂😂
Hey man! I really love your videos and the way you present them. I’m trying to do vids like these and wondering if u have any advise on how to keep ppls attention bc your videos are very captivating to watch ngl
Thanks! My advice is to come up with an idea that’s unique/interesting enough that you would want to watch it. I also really focus on the intro/first like 30 seconds and try to hook people right away with something funny or otherwise interesting (I think the title/thumbnail/intro are super super important just to reel people in and often the intro takes the longest for me to make in my videos). My process is usually to take notes while playing the game and think of jokes/things to say as I’m playing, then turn those notes into an actual script later on and make it fun. Side note: I often just think of jokes to include in like the middle of the day when I’m doing something else and then I write it down. It’s kinda hard to just think of stuff on the spot so take your time and try to keep a list of jokes/important things to note in your video. I often will also go back to my script and cut out big chunks that I later think aren’t that important/interesting to keep the video moving. And finally be patient: it took like 2 years for my first video to actually blow up which was incredibly random/lucky for me so don’t be discouraged if it takes a while to get more views. Good luck with your videos! :)
Didnt go for the mod because of all the bugs and glitches it adds ;) But watching someone else do it was actually pretty fun :) Seeing Ellies " One-hit-knife-kills" outside of winter is pretty cool. Swapping only the visiual models would work better but would loose this " special abilitie" Ellie has. I was hoping for more cool mods for the PC version at this point but I guess we arent there yet...
It would be good, it could start with Ellie's mother giving her birth, then Ellie growing on the military school, after she metting Riley, then all the shit would happen, and the rest we all know, the only problem would be that Ellie don't kill anyone neither infected until give her a gun, and that it's a big part of the game.
I swear god I saw a game play of Elie during the presentation of the game she is even on the game box I never got the chance to play it and now I feel disappointed
Definitely! I have one that I want to do and would like to get to it possibly by the end of the year, but have a few ideas for other games too. 100% there will be more TLOU2 videos/challenges in the future just not sure when yet 😅
