Zach, please separate wrestling from the other sports, as Franklin or any of the last 10 basketball coaches couldn’t carry Cael’s jock….lol I think Lilledahl goes at 125, unless Davis redshirts Nagao could be out, Beau needs to shoot a Lot More, SVN needs to prove he can stay healthy, Facundo at 174, Carter at 184.

So.....Carter alienates other guys, but Bartlett's return doesn't?? Get it right, man. Bartletts return keeps Kasak, already an all American, on the bench. Needlessly. Starocci coming back allows for unprecedented history to be accomplished. A 5th title. Facundo washed out, got beat by Mesenbrink for the spot. So he won't be alienated. He lost a spot already due to talent. If Starocci comes back, then super recruit Zack Ryder redshirts the spot and takes over the next year. He is far better than Facundo. Your research tells you it's Alex Facundo? Please, dude. You're way off.

Facundo is really really good. He’s won everything he’s wrestled in since redshirting, plus Facundo would be great at 174 and Carter at 184. Facundo has 3 years left. Watch Facundo at Olympic trials. Beau clearly has a mental hangup not going after guys….hoping someone teaches him to actually shoot….in the Finals he shot with :34 seconds left in the third. I don’t think Nagao makes the team unless Davis redshirts. Lilledahl will be at 125. SVN needs to prove he can stay healthy. He rock climbs everyday….pretty dangerous.

@@TimM-wk1zx Facundo has bulked up but..... Last time we saw him in folk style had a really bad big 10 tournament and then he laid a goose egg at the NCAA tournament. His replacement, Mitch Mesenbrink went to the NCAA finals and was a hair away from winning. Facundo has done well in the tournaments he's wrestled since redshirting because he's been out matching people. You may have missed that he took third at the Grand Prix of France in January. The guy that he lost to got tech'd 11-0 in the finals. The guy that he lost to just recently took 10th at European Senior Nationals. Alex may be able to win Pan ams and smaller stuff but he's not making any kind of serious threat on the world scene. He will probably take 10th himself at the Olympic trials if there was such a thing as taking 10th. That's not hate on him it's just reality. I know you're telling me to watch out for him but there are six other guys at the Olympic trials from the Penn State room alone that I would bet $10,000 a piece that they would all beat Facundo easy. Much less the rest of the guys. Josh Barr was undefeated this year and had many bonus point victories at 184. He's the heir apparent to that weight class. Zack Ryder, Who is that M2 for his senior season the same way Levi Haynes did and Tyler Kasich did with David Taylor, Is your heir apparent at 174. Unless Facundo can keep him on the bench. But just over a year ago, Zack Ryder beat Gabe Arnold, Aeoden Sinclair and Connor Mirasola in the same week at the US Open. A year younger than Gabe.. Both Aeoden and Connor are now four time Wisconsin state Champions under the tutelage of Ben Askren, just like Mitch Messenbrink was and Gabe is expected to be a star at Iowa. That's how good Ryder is. And that was before he transferred out of his high school in New York and went to M2 for his senior season with David Taylor. So I expect him to give Alex Facundo all he can handle and probably defeat him outright from the get-go once it's time to go next year. I don't know what you mean about Van Ness having to prove he can stay healthy. He wrestled ever since he got to Penn State on a bad ACL and they finally decided to get surgery on it. They did it so he would be more than ready to go next season and as good as Tyler Kasak is, he's not Shane Van Ness.
