People need to remember that Dan Carter was around for 12 years. He was the complete and the most consistent fly half to ever play the game. Beauden Barrett still has along way of catching up to Dan Carter and that is certain.
Makes me laugh out loud every time, it looks so outlandish. Even those little dinks off the boot by Ardie are from a place that 7's don't normally inhabit either. Outrageous team right now the Canes.
The only thing that was holding him back from the No.10 jersey was his goal kicking, which has drastically improved through the Super Rugby 2016 season. He has the potential to be an All Black great.
Tom Hassan When you score as many tries as the All Blacks do, goal kicking tends to be overlooked. But I agree, it will be a problem facing tougher foe than Australia.
Ikr, and his running form is superb, but put under pressure, he has a hard time setting his plays. Like against Ireland (Chicago) and Australia (Bledisloe Cup Game 2)
John Doe Yeah true that, and I guess with maturing he should be able to mentally make the best play instead of the highlight play. Sooner or later he'll be able to be a player of percentages and not just flare.
imRICKjames B!%#H Never ever...go beauden...that's the world cup...words I'll never forget...tbh every morning I wake up and shout...GO BEAUDEN...love it
Ej K....What's that got to do with it? If we had a goal kicking fullback or second five for example, the question of goal kicking would be irrelevant and he would still be the best player in the world based on his ability in every other facet of play.....Are you a butthurt Aussie or South African?
Amazing tribute video. I hope the selectors give him a chance to establish himself as the starting AB no 10 before the British and Irish lions tour. I feel he has a Dan Carter vs lions 2005 performance in him, dominating the game singlehandedly. It's weird how history repeats itself: at the start of the 2000s the all blacks had 3 quality no 10s: spencer, merthens and a young Carter, now again they have 3 quality number 10s in Barrett, cruden and sopoaga Lol can you imagine a backline vs the lions with Barrett at 10, And an in form savea Milner skudder and Ben smith back 3, with Mckenzie off the bench? I can't wait
Hes a try scoring machine.hes a champion up there with very best like Jonah Lomu .fantastic sidestepping and can read oppositon and setting up trys and off loading kicking hes the best
Dang i was just about to make a beauden barrett tribute with this same exact song and i ws about to start looking for clips so i came to this video and now i cant lol
In defense, attack and playmaking, Berrett and Wilkinson are equal GOATS. Carter was just a good kicker riding on the backs of great teammates so he comes in second
I would take Carter as my first up defender over both every time. Dude actually had heavy minutes internationally at 12. Wilko Just had some big hits so people think he's a better technical defender than he is. Carter had phenomenal technique and the ability to smash people...As for passing game, you're on hard drugs if you think either comes close. I'm always willing to have the Carter vs Wilko debate as it's close and warrents genuine discussion. BB should never ever be mentioned in the same breath as those other 2 greats. BB needs to be better than Fox, Mehrts and Nick Evans before you compare him to DC. Carter was phenomenal in shitty french and english sides, BB just got his shit pushed in in the Japanese league playing for the team that was the best in the country before he arrived.
He’s really come on, now that he’s out of Carter’s shadow. 3:11 Right in front of me at Dunedin Stadium! And 3:30 Not a bad evening for my first live All Black game since the Lions tour of NZ in 1977.
his goal kicking is terrible he needs to work on that big time, but also good news for the Barrett family as all 3 Barrett brothers were picked for the all black end of year tour this morning. Congrats to the Barrett boys!
I see him being more of a 12 in my opinion. I'm not saying he lacks the skills for a fly-half, but imagine him at 12. He runs well, he has a very good pass, his running angles are excellent and he also posesses a very good kicking game.
