This is one of the better aviation videos I have seen. You wonderfully captured the expanse of NYC and showcased so much on the way to your landing. Really appreciate how beautiful this is!
I work in Manhattan NYC, and I can say this is THE BEST AERIAL VIEW FROM AN AIRPLANE OF THE MANHATTAN SKYLINE THAT I HAVE SEEN SO FAR. CONGRATULATIONS!
I've been to NYC 17 times and I still can't get my head to process how unreal this place is! From the air is a whole different level of trying to comprehend what they've built here. Incredible video! I believe that is what they call the Expressway Approach.
This was a different landing pattern from the patterns into LaGuardia that I've previously seen, which have usually been descending eastbound over Statin Island, and then pointing north/northeast over Brooklyn and then Queens, and then turning left over Flushing Meadows and making its final descent over Citi Field and Flushing Bay into LaGuardia that way.
@@alvexok5523 I now live in San Francisco and we get a spectacular flyover of the city when we fly from Seattle or Portland. They come from the North and circle the whole city before lining up to land from the South. Otherwise, you don’t get that. You can see both bridges and all of Oakland also.
Congratulations for this spectacular video, absolutely incredible, the BEST one I have ever seen!!!!!!, I am totally agree with the other viewers. Thank you !!!!!
This is one of the finest aerial views I have seen. It is a superb piece of photography that takes maximum advantage of a sweeping view of Manhattan and environs. This is a technical and aesthetic masterpiece! Well done!
Splendid ! Much better than the helicopter video that my wife and I took in New York in 2014! Since we settled at the Quebec, south of Montreal, we come there two to three times a year ! By car, we are there in 5 hours! We ❤NYC ! Splendide ! Nous ❤New York
I've flown into LGA many, many times; this is hands down the best approach to NYC I've seen. The result of a "perfect storm" of air traffic / weather / seat / steady hands / etc.
Super, vielen Dank!! Ich hatte 1997 mal einen solchen Blick auf das alte WTC bei einer Landung am späten Abend und habe eben zum ersten Mal den Eindruck bekommen das der neue Tower auch toll auszusehen scheint. Ich will wieder hin!! 🙂🙂
this is absolutely the best Manhattan landing video I have ever seen !!!! It's not easy to shoot such great video (I have tried many many times but fail even I try to land in LGA airport) because there are so many factors.... when you have a good window seat and good weather but the pilot may not use the great route due to the wind direction. Sometimes, when a good route is chosen, the weather is not cooperating or you don't have a good window seat. Luck is a big factor but also need a good videographer to shoot a video with the right composition to make the pictures look appealing!! Good job !!!! you don't miss that window of opportunity when all good factors appear together. Congratulations !!! this video can help go a million views in a year
Absolutely breathtaking! The aerial view of Manhattan during the approach to LaGuardia Airport is truly mesmerizing. It's like flying over a concrete jungle with towering skyscrapers and bustling streets, all set against the backdrop of the beautiful New York City skyline. A sight to behold indeed! 🏙🛬 #LaGuardiaAirport #Manhattan #NewYorkCity #AerialView
Absolutely agree. Excellent video! I could NEVER live there! No Trees...Lakes...wild life...But that is not what your video is about. Extremely well done. Thank you for sharing.
There are 5 Skylines that are viewed from/in NYC: The Lower Manhattan Skyline, The Midtown Manhattan Skyline, The Brooklyn Skyline, The Long Island City (Queens) Skyline, and the Jersey City Skyline, all of which are seen in this wonderful video. Only the Jersey City Skyline is not actually part of New York City. The rest are. All of it together is what makes the overall NYC Skyline so vast and fantastic!
Although there are taller buildings in Asia and Dubai, none of these places - with the exception of Hong Kong - approach the vast, dense, numbers of skyscrapers of NYC!
I love some interesting details: Natural light reflection (too perfect!) Central parks, especially a couple of ponds. At least 5 Baseball fields in Central Park! New construction building (Midtown Manhattan Skyline just north of Empire State Bldg). Summer tourist boat approaching the Statue of Liberty (very cute). City ferry services. A lone subway heading for NYC just south of LaGuardia Airport,
Thank you so much for this wonderful great video - absolutely the best view and landing over New York I have ever seen 💖 if you ever fly again maybe you can also make video from Hudson river before New York to see how big this river gets in the landscape 🙏 thank you so much 💖
Stunning! I loved every second of this video from top to bottom. This was taken in September, I see. That's a nice time to be able to film something like this in NY. I've been to NY a few times but not in a good while. I hadn't realized how built up it is. I think that no other video could be just as good or better than this one. Great job! I'll be seeing this more than just once.
I didn't know there were so many taller buildings outside of Manhattan now.. I don't know what boroughs have what buildings, but the city is much more modern than when I used to visit in the 1980's. GREAT CAMERA WORK by the way! It's rare to get such a cloud-free non-hazy day, in September. I filmed coming into Ohare 2 months ago, and only 30 seconds was worth looking at again, lol.

I don't know if that was the case, pilots don't make the decisions when to land, the air traffic controller tells them when to and if there's no availability they're usually instructed to make a huge circle to kill time.
Avoiding Manhattan airspace to avoid getting shot down. After 9/11, planes can only approach LGA along the Hudson, and not fly over Manhattan if they are landing from the South.
@@fkarmadi Back in trhe 70s, I flew a private from Teterboro to Montauck. Meandered all over Manhattan on the way. Still have pics looking out the window at about mid way up the North Tower.
Great! That doesn`t seem like a typical flght pattern for La Guardia but way cool. I arrived in 2002 just as the street lights were coming on flying north up the Hudson low enough to see people in the park, crossing Yankee Stadium in approach. Best landing memoty ever.
