Porter's diversity is what makes him so unique in the EDM scene. He can do Techno, House, and Trance. His beginning style is the harder side of Trance, his Worlds album is reminiscent of House, and his Virtual Self alter identity is heavy Techno. He's just a crazy artist that can bring so many different styles just by simply feeling a certain way.

"Shelter" still hurts to hear, even though it's technically a happy song! This one is too, but Robinson's MV's have always had this "but it's so sad we can't be together" feel to them and it just makes it all sad! X(

Been watching your videos for the last 2 years or so. Always love your analysis/reactions. I’ve been wanting to request Porter for a long time as he is my favorite artists. I was stoked to see this video pop up on my feed! Such a beautiful song.

"Say My Name" is where I first heard Porter too, I can't believe it's been 11 years. I swear, if Skrillex didn't scoop him up when he did, I don't think he would've had the platform he needed at the time. People tend to forget that Skrillex and OWSLA gave a platform to so many musicians, he knew talent where he saw it. Porter is one of my favorite musicians around right now and Shelter solidified that years ago. Honestly, I had this thought for a while that Riot should collab with him, and apparently Porter reached out to Riot to collab cause' he's actually a fan of League and has been playing it. He mentions this in the "Making Of" video.

Hey maybe Im late to the party but Robinson explained his emotional connection to the song and found his insperation from his pain and support for his wife and her depression. Would really recommend to watch the making of of the song.

Got to see Porter recently here at Red Rocks. He played Shelter and I lost my shit. The evolution of Porter's music has been so much fun to listen to. The man is a legend in his own right.

I absolutely love this song. By the way, Star Guardian is a universe set in League of Legends. It's kinda like Sailor Moon meets Madoka Magika in a sense due to the dark undertones of the lore behind it. The song is amazing though. Talking about letting go instead of holding on to grief due to loss of someone close to you

Not sure if your chat ended up answering all your questions about how the League music works and whether or not this was an anime and all that. "Star Guardians" is actually a skin line in the game, but it got so popular that they wrote short stories to give this skin line its own sort of universe and lore. This song/video show the skins from star guardian and a little bit of the story that goes with it. It is entirely separate from Arcane. Most of the League music is either champion themes (just general themes for characters in the game), or "Worlds" songs. Which are pretty much songs made to get people excited for the World Championship of the League esport. Every last song made by Riot is absolutely PHENOMENAL so I would recommend continuing to react/listen to it, and you don't really need any prior knowledge of the game to follow along with it anyways
