The soul of the 70's! You should revisit a group called The Stylistics. Their song, "You Are Everything" will make your heart melt. One of the most iconic love & soul songs from the 70's. 🔥🔥🔥
Five more great Stylistic songs are: 1) Betcha By Golly Wow 2) Stop Look Listen 3) Stone In Love 4) People Make The World Go Round 5) You Make Me Feel Brand New.
'Love's Theme' instrumental song that was #1 from Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra is one you'll both love! He was also a maestro of his own orchestra.
One of the greatest composers of the 20th century. His other great hits include: "Never Gonna Give You Up', "What Am I Gonna Do With You", "It's Ecstacy When You're Laying Down Next To Me", "I've Got So Much To Give", "You're The First, The Last, My Everything", "Honey, Please, Can't Ya See", and perhaps the best instrumental of all-time, "Love's Theme".
@@laurafranich4807It looks like Amber was happy. Amber amber, really like this one. I think Jay Monaghan got lucky after. Jay monica lucky after this video?😅😅😅😅
Barry White didn't invent disco, but he is the 'Godfather of Disco'. His orchestrations, especially use of string instruments, became a foundation in so many disco songs! In the 90's he had a resurgence because of the tv show 'Ally McBeal' and Lisa Stansfield!
One thing I love about this channel is sometimes I hear a song that I was never into back in the day, and when this came out in 1976 I was 8 and not into Barry White, I was more into disco and then new wave, but now hearing this again after so long as a 55+, I absolutely LOVE it!
More Barry White especially from the 70s - Never, Never Gonna Give You Up, You're the First, the Last, My Everything, What Am I Gonna Do with You, It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me
Love you guys, such a fun loving couple. And what an artist you’ve picked in Barry white, what a voice, the master of romance. Please keep up the great work amber and jay, the best channel on RU-vid.
What can I say that others have not already said. His music is and will always be Wonderful, groovin' and down right smooth. I recommend every song others have mentioned and all are great. You have not done Lou Rawls for a very long time. His "Lady Love" and "See You When I Git There" I think you both would just love. Major Harris "Love Won't Let Me Wait" is also Waiting for you. I also second more Stylistics as mentioned. They have so many wonderful songs.
Love love love Barry White and his great music. When he is music used to come on the radio I used to blast it while I was driving. I will come home and listen to his tracks. May he rest in peace but he will always be remembered❤
Mr. White had such a romantic voice. It wouldn't have hurt me to wake up to someone with that voice. Beautifully low! (LOL!) I woke up with a German, which wasn't bad at all and was married for 22 years. I love you synopsis of the song. Your faithful watcher and indigious friend from Arizona. Soul music will live on. Love you two, Blessing to the kids.❤🎤🫶🎶
Used to ask for this to be played as one of the last songs in an R&B bar and just lost myself in it. It’s extraordinarily good, Barry trying to play off his woman leaving him as nothing, losing himself in the music. Everything about it is wonderful. Starting with the chorus, the music rolling throughout then into the first verse. Barry rides the beat, the melodies are impossibly gorgeous and his voice never lets up. Superb.
I had the pleasure of seeing Barry White in concert circa 1976. Another baby maker was Teddy Pendergrass. He was the lead singer for Harold Melvin and the a Blue Notes.
I played Barry White’s music so often when my children were younger that they still play his music regularly. My daughter, my youngest at 32, plays his music almost daily.
Oh man!!! This takes me back to the early 80 vibes!! I can remember driving around, literally blasting his music on an 8-track, on hamburger alley, Main Street!!! ❤❤❤❤ There is no better music than this!!!!!
Thanks guys for letting the (especially this kind of) music play! This song was 'updated' last year by Funkstar De Luxe. For more Barry White "You're the first, the last, my everything", "What am I going to do with you", "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up"!
A whole generation grew up making sweet sweet love to Barry's sounds. It's that beat of those drums in every one of his songs that keeps you going while his silky voice tells ya what you need to hear.
Love all your reactions ❤❤I have some good ones for you guys. These are by Heart❤️ "Sing Child", "Cook With Fire", "Mistral Wind" and "White Lightning and Wine". Enjoy!!!❤❤
Barry White's "backing group" was called The Love Unlimited Orchestra, and they also made hit instrumental records on their own including the #1 hit Love's Theme. Many famous musicians were once members of the LUO, including, Ernie Watts, Gene Page, Kenny G, Lee Ritenour, Ray Parker Jr., Nathan East and Wilton Felder.
Waiting for you two to discover how the master producer, Quincy jones, organises voices like instruments on his song "Secret Garden" - Barry white, Tevin Campbell, too many Legends to mention. I hope you'll check it out soon. Love you guys🔥🔥💞
I remember hearing Barry White A LOT growing up in the 70's! He was my aunt's favorite singer. He died 2 months short of his 59th birthday, Twenty years ago. RIP
A study was actually done about Barry White and his music causing a population boom and it was proven every time he had a hit song come out the birth of babies skyrocketed....lol....his kids said they never knew his music had such an impact on people's lives! So if you were born in the Barry White music era...you have him to thank for giving your parents the incentive to procreate .....lol. My favorite song of the many songs he did was "You're the First,You're the Last,my Everything" upbeat tempo fun song. 😊❤
Oooh yaaassss. Oh love my kusic from back in the day. He can sway any woman❤ what an artist❤ I get this weird feeling in my stomach everytime i listen to his music and this genre❤❤❤ i just want to dance the night away 💃 keep the music strong❤❤❤❤
Most singer/songwriters that play the piano , have great vocalize construct..their voices always in sync with the music..range & timing.Barry was one of very best.
Jay & Amber, you'll Love Barry's "You're the First, the Last, My Everything", "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up" and "I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby"!!!! Philly soul!!
I was working in a recording/multimedia studios in Burbank CA in 2001, putting in overtime on the weekend. Barry was in session downstairs in the large studio. He invited all employees in the building to kick it with him and his crew in his lounge to watch the DeLaHoya fight with him. We walked in and he looked at us, smiled and said in that baritone, "How you doin?" Rest in peace my brother, cuz I know the choirs in heaven are just sittin and listening to you.
You guys need to play "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me" and "Oh What A Night For Dancing" by Barry.. Oh and J "The Stylistics" that put out excellent falsetto with songs like "You Make Me Feel Brand New" "Break Up To Make Up" "You Are Everything" and "Betcha By Golly Wow!!" Give these songs a go. 🤗👍🏽✌🏽
Barry White was the Maestro of orchestral arranged songs, based on soul ryhthms, but you can recognize his style for his songs from the first notes. The Love Unlimited Orchestra was his great creation, but he never went into disco music, but soul and maybe more "Philadelphia Sound" arrangements to his music. I remember very well when he presented with Luciano Pavarotti in one of his Pavarotti and Friends concerts. He was amazing.
Definitely one of the best sad songs ever! The uplifting music just makes it more poignant. His girl left him and he’s telling people at the club that, “She’s at home.” But when we listen to the lyrics we know what happened. Brilliant. Was fortunate enough to see him perform. R.I.P.
Finally!!! Another one of my requests!!! This has been the ringtone on my phone for over 10 years!!! You have to react to the ultimate Barry song Whatever We Had We Had!!! Trust me... you will thank me later!!! Barry is the greatest conductor of the 20th century!!! I'm so blessed to have a voice just like his!!!
"You're The First My Last My Everything"next by Barry, PLEASE. You'll both love it. ❤ BTW, at the end of that video with Barry smiling and looking straight at the camera, brought tears to my eyes. He's so missed. He was an amazing man. ❤🎼🎙
LMAO!!!! You see I could not hang out with you two....I would in 5 minutes die of laughter.....OMG!!! You guys would say something or look a certain way and I would be weak!!!! Just laughing!!! Love you two!!!! Great reactions btw
