Amazing finds! I liked watching the whole process, from the thrift store to where you eventually use the item. Makes me want to go thrifting again soon 😀
Giving life back to items is wonderful! I love thrifting and I visit our local store every two weeks. Our home is not highly decorated because I don't want to buy just new decor. Instead I have a nice walk and some making thrifting moments. It takes time to make our home "ours" but this way it gets a very nice character because of the unique items. Everytime I look at my thrifted treasures, I feel very warm and happy ☺ I'm glad you share tips and inspire more ppl to thrift instead of just buying new!
I left Korea, where I lived with my parents so far, came to Germany, and for the first time, I live finally alone. I thought a lot about how to decorate my first own room, and I got a lot of inspiration from here. ♥
Probably because I just spent several hours today creating a Pintrest board with the items I intend to purchase for a semi-industrial decor look for my living room, but I saw the old coffee grinder and got happy that it found a new home with you, lol. Got a bit sad that it'd been abandoned in the first place because it indeed makes a great display piece (if you don't know how to restore it) with the industrial decor style. Or anyone that likes vintage things.
I think this works best, if you move to a completly empty space, with little belongings. My house is full of old books and a lot of things, built up in lifelong decades by my family... our problem is actually trying to minimalize it. So there sadly is no place for decoration...though I love the glassware! And I'd love a vinyl player like that (which is the only piece that my dad actually sold long time ago 😅😅)... You could easily be an interior designer! :)
I know what you mean, I can't imagine doing this when I was still staying with my family! It's so much fun now since we're building a home as a newly married couple, we can slowly add little treasures we find ☺️
thrift shops are honestly amazing for home decor! The fact that there's so much random stuff sparks so much inspiration and it's always exciting to see what's there!
I loved this video! Not only is your interior design 100% my cup of tea, but your video was beautifully shot and I absolutely adored the way you show your haul from store to use! Well done. Also it’s always nice to find good European channels. Greetings from the Swedish west coast 🇸🇪
Such good tips! I love the ikea kitchen thing repurposed as a wall decoration. A vintage coffee grinder was the first piece of decor I ever thrifted, nice a similar one in your video. As for brass, I usually jsut go over it with an old toothbrush and some toothpaste, works wonders :)
You should try dry brushing the gold paint on! Dry brushing is amazing for giving a vintage or slightly worn look, or just a more realistic look for metals.
I love to read, it hurts me when I see people using books just as decor. Maybe it is better for them, so you don´t have to throw old books away, but it hurts a little bit every time I see this. I love the other ideas!
I'm a little jealous of all the pretty things you found, haha 😉 I always try my luck in thrift stores, too, but so far I haven't found Andy treasures. This was a really nice and aesthetic video, I loved watching it! ❤️
I stumbled upon your channel and I’m so glad I found it, your videos are so inspiring and relaxing! Could I ask where you got your two display shelves/cabinets at? I love them and really appreciate how you decorated and designed your items!
Hallo, thanks for giving the addresses of the thrift stores. We plan to go to Munich tomorrow and I would like to know in which one we can find the lovely apothecary glass and jars. Thanks in advance.
I love your videos so much! They are always so calming and relaxing. I love watching it after a long, stressful day of work. It makes me feel better with my anxiety. Thank so much for creating and sharing this with us ♥
Wonderful video! Just came across your channel with RU-vid suggestions. I’m hooked! The music, sounds and images are simple and beautiful. Doesn’t have to be a ton of talking at you to enjoy such a nicely edited video.
Literally wish I could live and breathe in the same quality as your videos xD it always looks so peaceful. I love that I can see everyday life in them too, though... it makes me worry less about making my place perfect and just appreciate my plants and old timey bread boxes haha! However... we really need a spotify playlist. Your music taste is IMPECCABLE
I really enjoyed this vlog,l love to thrift an l like all the stuff you purchased an the ways you use them,l watched this vlog twice now that's how much l enjoyed it,🙂❤❤❤❤👍👍
you have a lovely home. very nicely decorated! the only thing i would change is the clear glass in your cabinet. it nearly disappears because of the very light background. i would place them elsewhere. see how beautiful the green books & the brown pottery shows up?! bending the record for a bookend? genius!
Hello ☀️ I loved your video 😍 I'm a fan of flea markets and antique stores, if sir doesn't calm me down I could spend a lot of money. Next time take me with you 😉😂
