The Garden of Activity at Kew Royal Botanic Gardens includes a stunning Japanese dry stone garden, or Karesansui, with rocky gorges suggesting waterfall cascades, flowing gravel, and symbolic islands, created in a style that has an interesting history in Shintoism and Zen Buddhism. Created in 1996, this dynamic garden was designed by Professor Masao Fukuhara of Osaka University, Japan. Hopefully, any clumsy pronunciation in places does not prevent overall enjoyment of beautiful seasonal scenes.
