The wonderful thing about Glen Keane is that he will never stop trying to help pushing the artform. He also went back to his roots after Tangled and is continuing the 2d art form.

This is perfect. There’s a reason that transformation feels so visually powerful and iconic and so interesting to know it’s because it was drawing on other classical influences. No wonder it’s always felt like it has a lot of depth and grandeur to it. Fantastic video!

These details are why the animated film is better than the live-action film. What an artist/animator can do at their peak is something that live action cannot emulate.

Yes this is exactly it!! Whenever I'm writing a story, I know that my characters already exist and it's my job as an author to discover everything about them, their fears, secrets, hopes, dreams, desires. . . Stephen King describes writing a story as digging for the bones of the dinosaur-- it's already there and you must dig around to find it. I didn't even read Stephen's quote till later on but I was like DARN he took my analogy!

I cannot even describe how obsessed I am with this video. It is everything to me. The careful way everything is described, the placement of the animation at the beginning of the video, the audio clip from Glen Keane, the voice. Just beautifully excruciating work. Thank you.

Even with all this, there's no way of loving the handsome prince as much as the Beast we've spent the movie getting to know;

I know this video is years old, but I wanted to stop and say how much I love it. The Creation of Adam comparison blew my mind. The whole part where you talk about the character being named Adam and then turning to face us and echoing David gives me chills. I recommend this video to people all the time and come back to it frequently. Thank you so very much for sharing! I know that you haven't posted in a while, but if you ever decide to you I want you to know that you have at least one fan eagerly waiting for more.

Truly a modern-day impressionist, if I were to be simple about his style. His animation is incredibly modernistic, yet traditional. It's a beautiful equilibrium of the visual arts as a whole. His style is also similar to another Japanese animator whose work I deeply fell in love with, and his name's Shinji Hashimoto. Both inhabit a sketchy art style and also have a certain focus on movement as a source of creative expression and explicit emotion.

Such a great video, and so well edited. Animators always look back into the old masters of art for inspiration! There is so much that goes into creating these moments in film and sharing this is very important for people to see ❤️
