I've watched many of your pre-trail videos, and just realized today that I wasn't subscribed! Just quickly fixed that after binging your first three trail videos. 😀 When you woke up with your face swollen, my first thought was the lime crystals. Have you had them before? You'd be surprised how many people are allergic to lime, and I have to wonder if perhaps the crystals have a more concentrated amount of what makes limes give so many an allergic reaction. Maybe pay attention to any reaction the next time you have it. Loving your videos so far and enjoying your journey with you from the comfort of my home, with still more than a foot of snow on the ground outside here in New Hampshire. Itching to start my summer/fall hiking weekends, cause I'm too much of a woose to hike in the snow. 😂😂

I've been on top of Blood Mountain 6 times and every time my view was like your Cow Rock Mountain view. You're hiking great, still smiling. Hike strong girl! Usually a pair of Super Feet will last thru 2 pairs of hiking shoes. Pull them out of your old shoes and put them into your new shoes. geek

Hope you have it figured out by now... as I don't know lapse time . As former runner to chub rub,. hygiene is important to keep salt from sweat off as it basically acts like sandpaper.... You get the picture....lol And body glide of some some sort will help with rub. Have a good hike, be safe, happy trails!!

That slack packing day looked perfect apart from the chilly temperatures. Get some vaseline and smother your cheeks and nostrils. It makes such a difference in conditions where your nose is running constantly and the cold is biting your exposed skin.
