I agree with that. Can’t pick and choose. Not saying CeCe was wrong with what she said, but she needs to make sure she is practicing what she preach. Honestly their music wasn’t really gospel it was traditional or what some today call contemporary in some ways when you really hear it. Plus if CeCe really wanted to follow God’s teaching, doesn’t she have a ministry in which she is leader with men and women in the congregation. It says that women is not to be in any leadership teaching over men and is to be silent in church. She honestly needs to make sure she is following by what she stands for.

Say it again!!! It hurt me to hear her say that stuff about “casting spells”. I hate when gospel artist desire to cross over but still want to act overly saved. You can be saved and still be involved in other genres.

You know CeCe Winans loved Whitney & Whitney loved her too, so let me speak some truth on this discussion. Whitney asked CeCe if she would be with her in the I'm every woman video, but in the same breath, Whitney said, "I know you won't do it, but I just asked anyway." CeCe agreed with her that she won't do it because the lyrics of the song didn't line up with the word of God. It went against what CeCe believed in. She said a lot of times we get so wrapped up in the beat that we don't listen to the lyrics and realize they are demonic. She's right because I didn't really realize the words or the lyrics of the song myself in that way until she pointed that out, and I have been listening to that song for years. I looked up the lyrics, and just reading the lyrics the words were so clear, but listening to that beat & Whitney's amazing voice singing those words, just blinded me to the lyrics on its own. Also, let me point out that every time CeCe has ever done a song with a secular artist, it was with them singing praises unto God with her in the song. As far as secular stages & buildings, God created everything & the only thing that makes it secular is the words, the actions, the intent of the heart from us, his people. Jesus emplored that men of his word go into all the world & minister the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15) & that is what CeCe has done & currently does. Whitney knew CeCe's heart & CeCe knew Whitney's heart so I rebuke any weapon formed trying to break the memory, the true bond of friendship they shared during Whitney's life & even after God called her home. All CeCe did was draw a line. And that is what we need more of. Friends that are willing to be honest, draw a line & hold tight to how they were raised & what they believe in just in case if one falls or is led astray, no matter how long it takes the other one is still standing strong ready & willing to help her friend up with no condemnation, but with love & truth. Sometime later, Whitney came with "Count on Me." CeCe happily sang with Whitney on the "Count on Me" song from the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack. That song wasn't technically about God, but it was about the things God loves, like friendship. As men & women of God, we are not here to judge, condemn. We are here to be a living witness through our own personal life, rightly dividing the truth, holding steadfast to his word, and self examining our own thoughts, words & actions. If someone is drawn to our life, then we can share how God's word is the reason our life is what it is. ​@youngbeliever8118 CeCe's husband is the pastor of the church, not her. He is also her personal manager. She just ministers through songs & messages under the leadership of her husband. So sometimes in a church, the pastor wife may deliver a message on Women's Day or some other occassion with the pastor's blessing of course.

So she won’t be in a video because the lyrics to the song were “demonic” but she’ll go on a national television show where they talk about sex, drugs, partying, and all things “unholy”. Just keep it real and say Cecelia was a bit hypocritical in her commentary. If she’s going to praise her friend and remember her then do that but don’t use your platform to amplify how saved you were because you turned down being in a video….
